…well of coarse first of all and the main reason was Putin himself… His personality intrigues me and i decide to create his portrait… Sometime after i saw how crazy people react on selection process and i decide to say my own word about it… Those words written on voting bulletin in film and shown in film « Freeman chooses freedom - not the next freedom holder... ».. So the first idea was to just write these words on a real bulletin take a picture and publish it. Whatsoever, i figure out that i have a great story and great character to make it more solid and completed, than just a few posters and pictures. So i decide to do not even go to the selection center… And besides it's all was screened online via web cams, so i could watch it from home and i did ... Meanwhile i have «no clue» about who is going to win, but than almost half of the film was completed i saw Putin’s reaction on his selection (tears) and i've change a final for a little bit – make much more sensitive and conceptual with his tear drop… Current president and his administration provide a lot of awful stuff, like corruption, filthy voting technology, as well as consolidation with so called orthodox Christian religion, while Jessus said: « Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's » And he is surely the Caesar. However as they say : «You can only be the king of your own». And that is what i am showing in film – i doesn’t matter if it is Putin or someone else – crowd will only cheer a leader that gives them that they want, but each concrete person will live like he or she wants to live, no matter what’s written in government law. And truly free person do not need any leader at all. So this film is not about Putin – it is about the power and freedom…
