10:15am.
Okay, here is the plan for today. First, I’m gonna have breakfast; then, go and study one of the channels I found yesterday; and after that, do exercises.

Cathrin Manning.
151, 000 subs.
243 videos.
The first video is publish on 10/10/2017.
The most popular videos:
1. How long it takes to get monetized on youtube (731k views).
2. How to start a youtube channel in 2020 (468k).
3. Understanding the youtube algorithm as a small youtuber (405k).

Now, let’s watch them!
From the first video I’ve learned that before to get monetized, I need to make an account on adsense google, get 1000 subs and 4000 watched hours. The girl said it took her a year and a half to do that. Besides, she already had had her blog and Instagram well developed before she joined youtube, so she used them to grow her channel. Moreover, there are lots of small formalities like having a bank account, paying taxes and all things like that, which must be considered while getting monetized. For the most part, she talks about how to do some “hacks” to speed up the process.
In the second video, she discusses basic tips needed for those who wanna become youtubers, making a full time job out of it. Here are these “tips”: 1) The content of videos. 2) A name of the channel. 3) A plan for actions.
The third video was the best one. She had just 3k subs in October 2019 (half a year ago) and moved to 151k with the help of SEO (search engine optimization). It took her two years to get from 0 to 3k and only half a year to get from 3k to 151k.
I’ve had an interesting idea to make links between my videos (I have almost a thousand of them published). I may create an astonishing maze for passionate seekers of wisdom and friends of knowledge; all it takes is to figure out how to trick SEO to get its help. I guess I need to learn something about key words. But I also wanna see Cathrin’s videos from October till now to understand better what she’s doing and how all this works.

The next video I watched was “The Youtube Analytics You Need to Pay Attention to: How to use youtube analytics to GET MORE VIEWS!
It’s quite inspiring. I changed my settings, and now my youtube channel is in English (it was in Russian before). I need to learn more about the statistics to grow an audience and to incorporate it in my own course on how to create a youtube channel.

Watched one more video: “How to Narrow Down Your Niche to Grow on Youtube: What’s a niche and how to find your niche on Youtube.”
I have a feeling that the more I listen to her, the better I understand what I should do, but of course, it’s just a feeling, not a real understanding. While watching the last video, I was thinking about language. It makes perfect sense to focus on language and create videos about the most important things I’ve learned, keeping my personal channel to get deeper into introspection and using a new channel to build the audience.

1:13pm.
Now, it’s time for exercises. Then, I’m gonna have lunch and go to A.
The rest of the day was lost in a meaningless conflict with A. When I came to her, I told her about what I was doing and mentioned the story of Cathrin Manning. We watched one of her videos together, then spent almost an hour purchasing a microphone (A needs a microphone which can block extra sounds while she’s working). Then I went to buy food while she started cooking dinner. When I got back, she still was in the kitchen, so I decided to watch other videos by Cathrin. After watching a couple of them, I went to the kitchen and A told me that “I wasn’t here” (òû íå çäåñü). For 20 minutes, she was telling me that there was something wrong and that “I wasn’t here”, even though she framed it as, “I feel you’re not here.” Well, for the rest of the day, I was making her angry, trying to bring back “whatever had been here” before I disappeared. It didn’t turn out well. I forced her to watch a video. I held her by hand when she wanted to run. I was shouting at her. I, as she said, didn’t listen to her, and all this finished as usual, but in the morning she demanded that I took my stuff and got the hell out of her apartment, which I immediately did without any objections.
