There are actually only four tips: 1. Decide what you want - write for yourself (e.g. as a form of therapy or to "escape the world"); make a lot of money or change the world - as these are fundamentally different writing projects. 2. Read a lot (it is correctly said that whoever reads 100 thrillers will be able to write the 101st) 3. Think a lot - it all begins in your head 4.
