Emergency Alerts is a UK government system that provides warning and advice in a life threatening emergency.
The government will be running a national test of the Emergency Alerts system on Sunday 7 September 2025.
The government does not need to know your phone number or location to send you an alert.
Reasons you might get an alert
You may get alerts about any type of life threatening emergency, such as:
wildfires
severe flooding
extreme storms
There are simple and effective steps you can take to be more prepared for an emergency in your area. Visit prepare.campaign.gov.uk for more information.

Emergency Alerts will not replace local news, radio, television or social media.
If you’re deaf, hard of hearing, blind or partially sighted
If you have a vision or hearing impairment, audio and vibration attention signals will let you know you have an emergency alert if accessibility notifications have been enabled on your mobile phone or tablet.

Across the UK, millions of people received the same Emergency Alert test message from the government. This marked the second-ever national test.
The test was sent to millions of phones across the UK at 3pm today (September 7). It read: "This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a UK government service that will warn you if there's a life-threatening emergency nearby.
"You do not need to take any action. In a real emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe.
"Find simple and effective advice
on how to prepare
for emergencies

Not only did a message flash up on people's devices, but a siren noise along with vibrations occurred throughout the warning.
The national test of the Emergency Alerts system was announced by Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Pat McFadden in June this year, alongside a new Resilience Action Plan to improve the way the government prepares for and responds to emergencies.
It is used to warn Brits if there’s a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. Since launching, it was used during Storm ;owyn, as well as when approximately 3.5 million people across Wales and the South West of England received an alert during Storm Darragh in December 2024.
It was sent by using phone masts to ping all compatible mobile phones within their range, this means that not everyone in the UK will have received the message.

As the message came through at 3pm, many rushed to X (formerly known as Twitter) as many "forgot" it was happening.
@theoonsage quipped: "Is the UK preparing for war or what? All my devices just went off at once with this emergency alert test. For a second I thought the world was ending"
@meghann24x0 added: "ty UK government for that emergency alert I just screamed and threw my phone for what" as @tiannatropicana wrote: "Yeah that emergency alert caught me surprise I actually feel so sick rn".

Others complained that the emergency alert arrived later than planned for them, as @ari_grandslay23 penned: "Emergency alert was 1 minute late oh if there's an emergency we're all cooked"
@cruise_travel53 echoed: "Emergency test alert received at 15:15 Considering it was supposed to be 15:00, it’s a good job it wasn’t the 4 minute warning"
@slackkejakke joked: "Emergency Alert was a minute late coming to my phone so presumably that means in an actual emergency I’ll end up getting turned to nuclear ash."

С момента запуска
он использовался во время шторма Эовин,
а также
когда примерно 3,5 миллиона человек
по всему Уэльсу и юго-западу Англии
получили предупреждение
о шторме Дарраг
в декабре 2024 года.

Мой комментарий
Я решила, что моё нежное чувствительное сердце вряд ли переживёт
и выживет в этот день тестирования звука по сути времён войны,
и ядерной войны, идите в бомбоубежище (которых поблизости просто нет),
что спрятано под фразой оповещение о наводнении,
в регионе Англии "середина Англия" ,
что удалённо от всех береговых линий В Англии,
И тогда оповещение о наводнении было бы высота волны цунами
соизмеримая с выстой волны Великого Потопа по Библии:
где волны воды в регионе Срединной Англии,
означали бы смытой волнами Великого Потопа
прибрежные Регионы Англии:
Юг Англии,
Уэльс,
Корнволл,
Ливерпуль,
Ирландия,
Шотландия,
да и Лондон,
Скарборо,
что слишком великая жертва по количеству погибших людей,
соизмеримая с описанием Великого Потопа в Библии.
При Великом Потопе и массе Огромного Количества Высокой Воды,
Цунами, малый шанс спастись у имеющих
в собственности
свои лодочки, плоты, спасательные жилеты.
Но если у тебя вдоме в твоей собственности этого нету?
И денег купить себе свой индивидуальный плот, лодку, спасательный жилет
нету?
Ведь спасение жизни выглядит социальная задача разграничения
- вот те у кого есть деньги купить и иметь всё своё.
- а вот малоимущие: у них нет средств владеться своим всем.
А спастись при наводнение: понятие скорости:
успеть натянуть спасательный жилет,
иметь плот-лодку (видимо надувную? тогда время привести в пользование:
надуть быстро воздухом (есть разный состав воздуха как смеси,
где тот или иной состав газа имеет понятие лёгкости веса).
Воздушные шары надувают гелием: легче воздуха и воздушный шар взлетает вверх.
При высокой волне цунами Великого Потопа
уцелеть
лутше иметь не просто плот и лодку
а "Воздушный Шар" - "Дирижабль",
чтобы подняться в воздух выше высоты волны цунами потопа.
Или иметь герметизацию
этажей высотных зданий
с пуленепробиваемыми окнами
Но есть ещё и другой способ "Стакан".
Перевёрнутый "Стакан" дном вниз с воздухом,
Плывёт и держит воду за счёт плотности воздуха.
На этом основаны подводные пещеры,
куда под водой можно заплыть и выйти на суше
внутри системы пещер "Стаканы Перевёрнутые Дном вниз с проходами.
Но сами дома при устройстве конструкций строительства их для такой ситуации
с коридорами проходами крытыми могут быть те же пещеры под водой с воздухом.
Тогда остаётся проблема добычи пригодного воздуха
и очистка воздуха
что как технология есть в космических аппаратах.
Остаётся переоборудовать дома
на случай вот такой
так
чтобы при наподнении вода бы не проникала внутрь помещений,
чтобы была очистка фильтрация воздуха,
а также возобнавление воздуха
(с воды? Нагрев воды освобождает кислород в виде пара?)
И: подняться с дома (если он под водой) :
некие или костюмы аквалангистов
(маски, ласты, костбмы, балоны с воздухом),
также лодки-плоты,
надувные от баллона с воздухом:
открыл вентель:
лодка-плот всплыл:
что подождав конца потопа ,
дать волнам утихомириться:
и всплыть:
имея верёвку трос от дома до буйка наверху:
вернуть домой назад,
если вокруг только водная поверхность.
Море река вода рыба: сети , удочки:
еда - рыба есть.
Морская капуста водоросли съедобна тоже.
Семена иметь в запасе:
сделать снова условия: вырастить урожай.
