Lucky or unlucky?
Once upon a time there lived a small Leveret in the forest. He lived well but wasn"t very happy. One day a Magpie said him that there was a wonderful, magic glade in the neighbouring forest not far from his home, and all animals who lived on this glade were very, very happy. The Leveret was a big dreamer and decided to find a magic glade at all costs. He equiped himself for a journey and early in the morning left his forest. No sooner had he done a half of the way than he fell in a deep pit. He was able to get out of it only late in the evening . "I"m so unlucky! Now I should return home and stay the night there . It"s dangerous to continue my way at night", the Leveret said to himself and went home.
Next morning he departed again. He met some of his friends, they were scared stiff and cried. "What happened?", our small hero asked. His friends answered,"Yesterday a big and very angree Wolf hunted in the afternoon on the way to a neighbouring forest and he killed a lot of our friends". "But I was there yesterday!", exclaimed a small Leveret. " How have you survived?", his friends asked. " I fell in the pit and was there untill the night", told the Leveret. " You are so lucky!", his friends amazed.
The Leveret thanked God and contined his way. Suddenly he saw a Hedgehog lying on the road with his leg hurt. The hedgehog asked for help. "Now I will lost several days, waiting until this hedgehog will have recovered. I"m so unlucky!", the Leveret thought. And our hero couldn"t but helped poor animal. He took the Hedgehog and came back to home, put him on the bed and took care of him until he was recovered. Then the hedgehog said thank you to the Leveret and disappeared.
A small Leveret went to a neighbouring forest again. He reached the forest and was already entering it how suddenly a little Bird rushed to him with screaming:"Please help me to find my nestlings! I had taken them with me to visit my sister from the other forest but a strong gust of wind took away them and I lost them. I beg you for help!" " Please, don"t worry ! I"ll help you! We will find them!", the Leveret comforted the Bird, thinking:"Oh, I don"t know how long we will seek her children! I"m so unlucky! Why am I to lose so many days on the way on which other people lose only one day?".
They were looked for the nestlings for about several weeks but they found them all and the Bird was extremely happy and grateful to a kind Leveret. She thanked him and flied away with her children.
Our hero stayed alone in the unknown and thick forest. The Leveret looked around and understood that if he lost his way he would die for sure here. "And where am I to go? I"m so unlucky!", he said to himself and burst into tears. Somebody rustled in the grass. He looked there and saw the Hedgehog whom he had helped before. "What is your problem?", asked the Hedgehog. "I"m looking for a magic glade! Do you know where it is?", asked the Leveret. "Of course I know! I know everything in this forest and I"m grateful to you! So follow me. I"ll show you the way", answered the Hedgehog. When they came to the glade the Leveret was breathless with excitement he had never seen such beauty before. He wanted to enter this wonderful and happy country but suddenly animalgards appeared in front of him and said:"You can"t come in our country if you don"t know a magic hymn of our wonderful glade. If you know it , sing it to us and we will let you come!".
"Do you know this song?", the Leveret asked the Hedgehog. " I"m sorry! I don"t know it. I don"t live in this glade. Only inhabitants of this magic country know this song. Now I must go. Good luck!", the Hedgehog said and disappeared again.
"I"m so unlucky!", a small Leveret complained and began to cry. In this moment he heard a divine music above his head. It was the Bird whom he had helped before, who sat on the tree and sang. " Don"t cry , my Little Friend! I live in this country and know this song. I"ll teach you how to sing it. Then I"ll accompany you with my nestlings to our wonderful country and will show you everything and help you in everything. I think you will be very happy here and you"ll find what you seek!", smiled the Bird to him and offered him her hand. "How for all that lucky I am!", a small Leveret said and they entered a magic, wonderful glade.
