Process of Franz Kafka

Franz Kafka (1883 - 1924), one of the greatest writers of the twelfth century was born in Prague, Czech. He is notorious as the first author of absurd situations. He wasn"t very prolific writer. He wrote three novels ("America", "Process" and "Castle", that weren"t be finished in usual way) and several dozens of stories.  In his novels and short stories he often foresaw and convicted many sins of humans: fascism, chilling belligerence of some countries to others, aggressiveness and insensitiveness. A great deal of his stories are very gloomy and pessimistic. His hero or a main character is often pitiable and lonesome person, who had been rejected by the society. He may be rather self-conscious and immature. Usually he perishes because of inability to get rid of nervous frustration.
Kafka"s the second novel "Process" is baffling by its unexpected and paradoxical plot. Once upon a time, a bank worker, mister K. woke up and found himself arrested. Several men, who entered his bedroom in the morning, didn"t explain the reason of his detention. They even didn"t took him to the prison, they only ordered him to come to the certain place for the lawsuit. The process had begun. Mister K. wasn"t guilty, he had nothing illegal to do, but at the same time he was guilty indeed. Everything was connected with an inner world. Step by step ill-tempered K. used to resign himself to his illusory guilt. His indifference and insensitiveness to the people turned out to be the same towards himself. And when he was convicted to execution, he took it for granted and found, that attempts of fighting for life were quite useless. Sorrowfully, mister K. was killed like the lowest of the low.
Many of Kafka"s stories are full of bitterness and spleen. Perhaps fifteen years of author"s consumption and lonesomeness made it deed. However Kafka knew about internal sides of the world one thousand times larger then any person in the Earth.  So, the reading of his masterpieces bring us closer to the understanding of Truth.
