10 Commandments of healthy life

Hello? Is there anybody out there? Or am I talking to myself again?

But then again – what do I expect? - even I do not think I am very normal. All my life I have failed to be like the others miserably. I have not understood "the rules" since I was a little kid. At about the age of two I remember myself wondering why is that a child should ever be punished? Something definitely must be wrong with this world. And then I had to wake up for school and learn all the boring useless… ahm… "general education". In a University I studied when everybody else seemed to be partying, and then I took fewer courses looking to party… only to find everybody else studying.

Right now, I can’t even take the credibility for those "aberrations". I think I was born with them. Funny thing though, whoever I talk to states that yes, indeed, he or she is dissatisfied with the way things are and makes a conclusion that we of course have to accept it as a fact. Here’s an example - what happened with this summer’s parties: people with days off during the workdays didn’t want to come because "everybody else is working", but when I actually call and ask, it appears that so many of us can squeeze in the time for a picnic. We accept common beliefs without neither proper judgment nor evaluation of their validity. We accept the misery without ever trying to overcome it.

Well now, is this just me or virtually everyone is trying to be what they think is "normal" so hard, that they are willing to accept the pain?

As they say, the luck of flexibility is the sign of paralyzes, so why not try to come up with an alternative approach to life? For instance, below is an example of an unconventional attitude where one reacts positively to every situation. The attitude is summarized in 10 commandments. Why does it lead to a healthy life? Because it does. Whoever wants to prove me wrong is welcome to report with results in a year of practicing this approach.

1. Act and react positively to get the most from every situation.
2. Use your creativity. Remember, most of the times it can substitute for negativity.
3. Combine positivity and creativity to bring good on all levels: personal, social, environmental.
4. Believe in what you do and do only what you believe in.
5. Chose what you think as you chose what you do.
6. Act with pleasure and thankfulness and fearlessness.
7. Chose what is right and do what is chosen so you can stay alert and aware.
8. Stay alert and aware to keep your mind clear.
9. Clear your mind to have unbiased opinions.
10. Keep your opinions unbiased to enable yourself to act and react positively.

Note that "good and right" here refers to personal judgment and unrelated to social norms. All the 10 commandments are there to represent an example of self-created personal value system and the author holds no responsibility for the results of its application. The commandments are not a toy. Keep them away from the reach of children.
