Сказка о Мертвом море что-то потянуло меня писать

Fairy Tale 1
All of us should take care of the planet Earth since keeping the environment clean and clear will help to prolong our life.
There exist many hidden facts as a proof that civilizations existed on our planet in the past.
Despite the fact that none is sure enough of the reasons why those cultures have faded away there are a few absolutely gorgeous legends about those societies, how and why they appeared and disappeared.
One of them is the story about the Dead Sea. The water there is 80 per cent salty. Therefore, no life can exist in the sea. The rocks scattered around it resemble the shapes of people who seemingly lived in the area and were frozen by a superpower. People from all corners of the world come to the Dead Sea with the sole hope to cure their skin and bone ailments and get involved in the special aura.
I would like to tell of those tales that one could hear during the stay in the lowest place on Earth.
Once upon a time there was a huge city. Many different people lived there. They acted different ways. Some of the individuals followed their common sense and behaved according to the moral code accepted in that place (actually, it did not very much vary from commandments given by the Lord). Other inhabitants stuck to the opinion that everything was permitted. Slowly but surely bad attitudes prevailed as the stoic generation that was reared on solid values passed away and the young who felt that nothing was forbidden started ruling the community.
One day the Almighty looked at the people from above and was terrified… Almost every dwelling turned into a nest of sin. The majority gave themselves up to carnal desires and only the king’s court was a tiny island of decency still rose like a rock in the middle of the stormy ocean of indulgence.
The Creator decided to punish those sinners. He flew over the king’s palace, as he was afraid even to put his foot on this land of libertines and asked the king and his wife to leave the city at once as he was going to send a punishing plague on the rest of people. The only condition for the couple was not to turn or even look back while going away for good. The king was strong enough to hide his emotions and put a fence between the past and the new reality. His wife, however, could not stand the temptation (Eve’s story comes to my mind!). The moment she turned her eyes back the Ruler of Heaven and Earth changed her into a Salt Column in the center of the Dead Sea…
