Моя Поздравительная открытка Бараку Обаме. На англ
Mr. President,
Happy Birthday to you!
I wish you Good Health and Real Luck in your life.
Please think of our People and give us a Hand of Support.
We pray for Peace and are ready for Peace. However, we have to keep our gun-powder dry. Otherwise, G-d forbid, we would have been broken into pieces no time.
On the one hand, your presidency has been expected by the whole world as a kind of relief. Alternative thinking of a mere individual who has dared to run for leadership of the whole Free World might have brought a kind of freshness into the old and stiff and reluctant to changes world atmosphere.
On the other hand, I wish I could point out one important step that you have taken while speaking in front of dignitaries in Egyptian capital on June 4, 2009. In my opinion, that has been a speech that can be compared to your inauguration address.
However, I cannot help sharing a feeling that while quoting the Three Sacred Books – the Old Testimony, the New Testimony and the Koran, you have started writing the fourth book and sent a message to the whole world that might comprise a few words only: “Act as I order you to act”.
You have tried to alter the existing world order in no time. And that resembles me the endeavor to change the direction of the Earth spin.
As a result, ALL your attempts to halt military conflicts or solve ANY problems have, unfortunately, failed. Even the Nobel Prize Committee effort to sweeten the situation by granting you 2009 Peace Prize Laureateship has, frankly speaking, even marred the time and place, since even a toddler could have realized that you are too far from deserving that highest award of struggling for Peace recognition.
As to you to your trial to dissolve the age-rooted confrontation in the Middle East, I cannot see any CARDINAL alterations under the current circumstance. Moreover, the hazard of a new bloody war in our region seems as near as never before (I wish I were a bad prophet!).
And, finally, Mr. President, I feel like giving you a piece of good advice: please, do not think of yourself as the Heaven’s Messenger. To alter the way of thinking of billions of people in all corners of the world a sort of hard, even hectic, work is required. At times, it looks like a vain job… But give it a daily try and remember “We shall overcome one day…”
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Zalman – Ziv Vinokur, Israel

The president asked for “a piece of good advice”?
The fact you cannot see any alterations isn’t evidence to total failure of Obama’s politics, is it?

2. I do not scold him, so it's polite enough.
3. At times an ordinary citizen may offer his vision, or else, "his two cents", even to the President.
4. I have been taught: unless you can you do it, do not give it a try.
