sit scribes at the Christs seat...
At the time of the evangelical churches were otherwise, who had love in his heart and the opportunity - he served the Church throughout its large or small estates.
So done with Christ, bringing Him not tithe , but a freewill offering.
Where is help to orphans and widows? for this there is a Church on earth, and in this is visible preaching of the Gospel, not in words, but in love for one another, to the neighbor!
Therefore, only the ambitions of confessions - their seminars, books, buildings for the glory of their preachers.
Sadly ....
scribes sit at the Christ's seat ...
all their works they do to be seen by men:
extend their services and increase fringes of their flock;
also like to appear at festivals, and the chief-meetings in churches
and to be greeted with respect in the market-places, and to have people call them rabbi, rabbi
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher Christ, and you are all brothers;
And call no one your father on earth, for you have one Father—the one in heaven;
Nor are you to be called masters, for you have one master -- Christ
The greatest among you will be your servant.
All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted
But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you lock people out of the kingdom of heaven. For you do not go in yourselves, and when others are going in, you stop them.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye adevour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cross sea and land to make a single convert, and you make the new convert twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.
Woe unto you, ye ablind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the living souls of Church that sanctifieths the gold?
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, ahypocrites! for ye pay tithe of poor, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith
Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger.
(will hope that we have a wise shepherd who gave their lives for the lambs ...)
