At the Edge of Tomorrow

what if i said i want u back, and added that it s for keep this time
would u say it's a logical choice conscious in every way,
or is it the season to go mad, and follow passionately each whim,
the same way i ended up buying that gallon of cheap California wine
just because the brunette on its label had a smile wearing a blue bonnet
bending over so sweetly in the field of grapes

the same grapes i once had in the fall, while ingesting brighton beach
for a concert of a famous Russian band for which we rented an Isuzu
Trooper and stayed in an American hotel in Mid-town, except that
I was alone, not with us, torn and inlove tripping on acid. and only
showed up at the end to show drawings of nudes to people filing out.
bright beach was never as hot as then.

i picture a picture perfect marriage, can u just admire us there walking
off and into the sunset hand in hand, somehow similar but never as distant.
i have a full road of life ahead of me, just now i realize everything is only
lost to be claimed as it stands the test of time, even the fact that i didn't
become a poet. is it really important to be someone you are not and fail
or fail while being the best of yourself?
