Masquerade

It’s half past six her dreams been pierced by fierce sunrays
A cup of tea she puts a smile upon her face
Has caught a bus and gloomy mugs stare back at her
They’re still not in, don’t get it clear – they’ll lose it all

Nobody she misses; And all her false kisses
Only terms of game she gotta play
Abides cruel rules of business; ‘Cause she was born to win this
So her whole life is just a masquerade

A decent girl just plays her role beneath a guise
Throughout her place they fill the space with virtuous lies
On coming home, she’s all alone – that’s not the thing!
At a sacrifice of looking nice she changes her skin…

Nobody she misses; And all her false kisses
Only terms of game she gotta play
Abides cruel rules of business; ‘Cause she was born to win this
So her whole life is just a masquerade

Sea-blue eyes and rosy cheeks
Reflect only what you seek
Has she pair or Royal flush
Can’t take from her camouflage
Displays only goods for sale
The rest hides beneath her veil
In the cage she locked her soul
Don’t relax – she’s not alone!

In Global cutthroat competition we all live for certain mission
Wearing different skins for foes and mates
To remain null and valid on this huge and cruel planet
Where our whole life – just a Masquerade…
Masquerade!
