Do not keep to yourself

Don’t Keep to Yourself

(A Few Remarks for the Israeli Defense Minister)

Dear Mr. Barak,

While serfing your page at Facebook I bumped into a suggestion to address you.
It looks like a brilliant idea “to kill a few hares in one shot”.

Firstly, you show yourself as “one of mere folks” who identifies with those “inferiors”.
Secondly, you allow us, ordinary citizens, to “let the steam out” and feel that special ‘sweet taste’of “participation” in the hard issue of ‘decision-making’ and (who knows might I give ‘a good piece of advice’?).

Thirdly, you feel like giving us, the so-called ‘ignorant in the art of war fools’, a vanishing spark of “hope” that even our voice might be heard! Would the words of a mother of several kids who lives in Sderot or Hof Ashqelon area heard and, moreover, trigger your criminal lack of activity towards our foes who test the Patience of the Jewish people who faces the constantly growing danger of aggression from HAMAS in the South and HAZBOLLAH in the North.

However, as I may realize you have the only aim. And that goal is keeping as long as possible the cozy Defense Minister armchair. You have managed even TWICE to win the the Labor Party leadership bid. At the same time you failed TWICE to keep control over your ‘friends-in-arm’.

You have even ‘succeded’ to break your party and currently you command a tiny boat. But you don’t give it damn, since the Defense Minister armchair is much more comfortable.
Looking back at your ‘Soldier No 1’ record I don’t doubt anything.

When you headed the pull-out from Southern Lebanon in 2002 you betrayed the allied forces. Four years after you betrayed our Soldiers when they had to shed blood when attacking fortifications you failed to destroy while holding the Army Post Number 1.
And now you seem to forget JFK’s well-known wisdom: “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”.

It has turned out that the Country does a lot for you and you have failed to do for your Country.
