For Sale Only?

Today the cinema is a serious business. There are rumors that it even makes money sometimes. But can a movie be just a commodity? I don't think so.

What is a movie? Of course, it is a part of art. And art, in turn, is a part of culture. However, I would not dare to say about some movies that it is art.

The cinema occupies an important place in contemporary culture. Its contribution to culture is priceless. But we can price its contribution to business: U.S. film revenues are 7,5 billion dollars. As we know, as much Russia spends on education.

By the way, once I started talking about education... In addition to art, culture also contains a certain set of moral ideals or the idea of right living. Usually it is called in one word "upbringing". And this ideal and idea is a part of culture like art.

It is the obvious example, but try to imagine the house. The simple house - four walls, doors, windows, roof. It is may be beautiful, plain, comfortable or, if you want, speaking and hi-tech... In any case, its basis is a foundation. A good house is a good foundation.

If we imagine that culture is the house, then upbringing is the foundation of this house. Every part of culture is found on upbringing's ideals and ideas.

Well, it doesn't mean that any cultural object of the world has a specific idea and trying to bring up us. Can you imagine a moral ideal, which, for example, a simple sock gives us? Ok, sock-teacher, it would be funny...

But art is a teacher, anyway.

Any film has tremendous opportunities and means of expression. Once upon a time, people could only listen to music and enjoy the visual arts. Sometimes they enjoy theatrical performances. With the advent of cinema has become possible "to take up the culture of" anytime and anywhere. And I'm not even talking about what opportunities are hidden in various special effects!

Only giants such as family, school and mass-media can compare with the cinema.

And why are we thinking that some or a lot of movies may be for sale only? It contains moral ideals that can into any part of our culture. And this fact doesn't depend on our desires. But give voice to not to watch trash and to prohibit its propagation must be our desire and our right.

Suchlike culture for sale only is a legalized crime.
