Сказка о Колобке на английском языке

Fairy-tail of Kolobok
…Now I want to tell you a story. It begins with an elderly couple: Mary and John (they were Ukrainians). They were poor and had nothing to eat. One day John said to Mary: “Please, cook something for our lunch”.  Mary did not lose herself and collected a few grains from the floor. She kneaded a piece of dough and put it on the windowsill. This piece of dough is called in Ukraine Kolobok. It wanted to walk a bit, so it run away.

It rolled along the ground and sang: “I`m Kolobok, a piece of dough. And I run away from my parents. Catch me if you can!” In a few minutes it met a rabbit. Rabbit asked curiously: “Who… What are you?” Our hero answered: “I`m Kolobok, Ukrainian piece of dough”. Firstly, Rabbit wanted to eat Kolobok, but later understood that there was no guarantee it is safe and ecologically-clean. Rabbit got scared and just run away.

In half an hour Kolobok met a Bear. The Bear asked the same question again and also thought that he is too young to die of poisoning. He, as well as Rabbit, just run away.
Finally, Kollobok met a Fox. She was not such a grumbler, so she ate Kolobok and lived a happy, long, self-satisfied life (as you probably have mentioned, she hasn`t poisoned). John and Mary found another few grains. They cooked bread and didn`t starve.
