A Sonnet. To the Day We Met...

We’ve never touched each other’s lips
Except just once – that gentle kiss -
The one I gave you when we met.
It was thy cheek. My lips were wet.
Thy – dry. And then you gave
A tender smile and hugged me
Pressing very tight
Your slender body next to mine.

It was a second, no more,
Gosh! What I felt! Just to the core…
The core of every woman’s heart
That knows, feels - it’s your true love.

I’ve waited patiently for it,
For months ahead, the heart still beats
The head then swam, but not in vain,
And then you came and won the game.

But now it's gone, as time flies fast...
It was the day that we met last...

This one sounds really better. Still the rhyme is irregular and the meaning doesn't always look clear enough.
