Prankster
Yes! 5 som! I ran to the store, grabbed the food colouring, and paid the money. I ran home. In my room, I opened the box. It had 5 colors in it: red, green, blue, yellow and purple. I opened them, went to the bathroom, poured the food colouring in the shampoo bottle, and gave it a shake. I walked into my room. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Marika, my little sister go into the bathroom.
While she was taking a bath, I decided to look through my pranks notebook.

Pranks I want to do
o Put alarm clock at 3am
o Painted stones instead of skittles
While Marika was taking a bath, I decided to go into her room. I opened the door to my sister’s room. Slowly, I stepped into the room. Suddenly, something fell on my head. Ketchup!? Who ever thought of a dumb prank like this! Only my little sister could. I ran around the room, making ketchup marks everywhere. Then I went into the bathroom.
I could hear Marika making herself a sandwich in the kitchen.
After I washed, I went into my room. I heard my sister in the hallway. I quickly hid in my best hiding place – under the bed. Marika opened the door and stomped in, while my books, that were supposed to fall on her, fell on the ground.
“AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!” My sister screamed when she saw me fake mice. She dashed out the door. I smiled. I decided to put another thing on my list.

I put the books back up and went to play on the computer, since my laptop didn’t have games in it.
Suddenly, I heard a THUMP! It came from my room! I ran there, but all I heard was my sister slam her door. I saw some books lying on the floor. That’s strange; didn’t I put the big fat dictionary on there too? Well, I guess not. I came in, and that was a big mistake. I looked up, and saw the dictionary falling; it looked like it was aiming right at my head. I jumped out of its way, and watched in horror as it fell on my new laptop. I got it 2 days ago, as an early present for my birthday. Now, Mom and Dad will think I’m irresponsible. And all because of a “cute little sister”!
“How will I tell Mom about the laptop?” Worries began filling my mind. “What if I was seriously injured? Or possibly, killed?”
While I was thinking, I got into my bed, since it was 1am. I listened to the tick-tock of the clock, the warm summer wind blowing into my room, the slow creaking of my door, and the trees outside whispering, swaying, in rhythm to the clock. Slowly, my troubles started to fade away, my room seemed far away, and I fell asleep.
BBBRRRIIINNNGGG!!!! I got up. It was so dark. I felt so sleepy. It felt like 3am, even though I put my alarm clock on 7am.
I tiptoed to my sister’s room. I decided that she is sleeping, and she probably had a prank notebook like mine, so I had to find out what pranks she wants to do, and she probably also planned to do them at certain times. While thinking, I tripped on a ball, bumped into the wall, and fell smack on the floor.
I tiptoed into her room, and to my surprise, she was awake, and had colourful hair.
“I hope you will look in a mirror someday.” I told her.
She grabbed the mirror. As I dashed out of her room, ran in my room, and locked the door, I heard a shriek. I realized that I had something in my hand; I opened it. It was Marika’s prank notebook!
LATER…
Even though I memorized all the pranks and dates in her notebook, I read through them one more time. Then I went to Marika’s room, and put the notebook on her table. I went to my room, but before I stepped in, I remembered about the basement. Every day I tried emptying 1 or 2 bags to see if there was something to help me play pranks on my little sister. So far all I found was a dead mouse. I decided to empty one bag right now. The basement was right in front of my door, in the hallway. So I went down. I always left the door open because I am scared afraid that if I close it someone might lock it, and, even though I wouldn’t be scared, I wouldn’t like being locked up either. I started looking through a bag. Suddenly, I heard the door slam, then, the lights turned off. I ran to the door, and started pushing it. I had to find another way out. It was cold, I was hungry, the basement was smelly, and dark. There were probably snakes and ghosts everywhere. This time my sister has gone too far, I would never do that to her! She was the worst sister in the world!
I knew there were three doors. I ran to the first one. I opened the door. It was a… BATHROOM! I slammed the door shut. I opened the next door, and saw our backyard! That was so great; I would have stayed outside, but I went to my room to plan my probably biggest prank ever!
Later, when I finished the plan for my big prank, I looked it over, something inside was saying that I shouldn’t do it, but why? It wasn’t dangerous, or at least it didn’t look dangerous. I just wanted to give Marika a little scare that’s all.
Plan in action…
We were going mountain climbing on the Pamirs, and as always, I was the first one on the “picnic” spot. I was sure that if anyone fell, they wouldn’t be hurt too much, especially if the person who fell was my little sister. Down there, there was a flat area of grass, with no rocks. I waited for Mom and Dad to climb up, and then put the dead mouse on the edge. Suddenly, I stopped. Why was I doing this? This plan is really dangerous! It could kill my little sister! If she fell on her head, she would break her neck and die! She is part of my life. Even though she’s probably not the best part. I loved her. She was a good sister. I remembered the time I was sick, and she bought me a chocolate bar.
I threw the mouse away. I saw my little sister climbing up. I decided to help her. Suddenly, the rock beneath Marika began to crumble! She started falling! I grabbed her arm just as her knee touched a rock, and pulled her up.
“Thanks Mark.”
“You’re welcome.”
THE END.
