On this up and down road of life
I am walking happy, sad
Sated, hungry
But most of all alive.
The rhythm beats in my chest
I am young, I am old
I am sick, I am well
But most of all I am alive.
I fight daily using the mind and the body
I gain, I lose
I am busy, I am bored
But most of all I am alive.
Everything keeps changing
Winter comes, summer goes
I am cold, I am warm
But most of all I am alive
For all the challenges and the changes
Please let me thank you
For this precious gift of life within me
