Food Fight Diary. S-corn-ful Cheese

  - Hi,
I have enjoyed cheese-making advice and products you offer on-line for a quite a while by now, happy to make my own cheese.

The main reason why i started making cheese at home, is that after coming here some time  ago, I started having severe allergic reactions to ingredients of pre-made foods sold in local stores. Recently, allergy to CORN-derived substances added to my list, which is quite common here, as I later learned.
Unfortunately, your site does not have corn in the "allergen list".

My question to you is concerning maltodextrin you use: is it a corn-based (derived from corn)?

 - Olga, do you realize that maize is a cereal? Just go to a supermarket  to see if the check is yes or no....

-Jim, thank you for a reply, but sorry, i do not understand your message. Is it some kind of a joke? By any chance is it Jim's 10-year old kid who got a hold of daddy's computer and playing pranks sending silly messages to customers?

Am I talking a customer service representative here? I wrote clearly to you that I am allergic to CORN (maize) and needed to find out whether your product is gonna cause me problems.

I consider the answer I got outrageous. First of all, the answer is irrelevant to my question completely.

The check is NO as far as how professional your reply is. The check is NO as far as how educated your reply is. The check is NO as far as how polite your reply is.
Should I educate you on what MALTODEXTRIN you are selling is? YOU SHOULD KNOW IT BETTER THEN ME!

We truly work hard to answer our customers' questions in detail  and that was my intent here.

Our business is over 25 years and do give more knowledge and assistance than any other supplier in the world.

If response to your question seems inadequate, come back with the specifics,  no need to "shoot the messenger".

The supplier of cultures did include the info that the starch used to make their maltodextrin  is usually corn.

If you have a certain product you are concerned about I will be happy to give you additional info.

I do not see how your suggestion for me to go to the supermarket and witness that corn (maize) is a cereal in any way was intended for me to learn about maltodextrin in your product; so I think, in my case, you should have kept the sentence: "We truly work hard to answer our customers' questions in detail  and that was my intent here " to yourself.

Additionally, you should have kept to yourself the sentence: "Our business is over 25 years old and do give more knowledge and assistance than any other company in the world", because in my case, I did not receive a knowledgeable answer from you on May 9-th, and it is ridiculous to see you insist that all of it was caused by you not having specifics - go back to my original message and read my question: "My question to you is concerning maltodextrin you use: is it a corn-based (derived from corn)".

So your answer was inadequate because you intentionally chose to ignore your customer's question, you specifically chose to send me a rude uninformative reply that did not contain a message. Are you really that sarcastic to call yourself a messenger.

I feel like I have been  harassed by your scornful and sarcastic replies. This is ridiculous.

Sir, I have no idea why you decided to put me through this disgusting experience. I just hope other customers have not been treated in this manner.
