Prehistoric fact

Where does"Winchester" initially come from? Has ever any English man thought of this? Even the Winchester's citizen?! Guess then!
Does it come from the USA gun's factory?- No,it doesn't.
Is it the computer's hard disk then?- No, it isn't.
 It needs "to dig" deeper.
After the Roman conquest of Britain Winchester became the capital of the local tribe or civitas , known as the Belgae , a confederation of Gaulish tribes who conquered large parts of the southern Britain beginning around 100 BCE.  The city was known as Venta Belgarum , which may mean "Market" or "Meeting-Place of the Belgae "..Although in the early years of the Roman province it was of subsidiary importance to Silchester and Chichester , over time it came to eclipse them both. Venta(because there was the biggest market in old England) +.. (Сhi)chester( from roman)...
Follow my thought.. It means the word initially was not English word,it came from two different languages after the roman and norman( vikings) conquests. VENT+CHESTER has become Winchester..
!!! Eureka!!!!!
My way of thinking was basically on WIN and CHEST..someone WON something somewhere somewhen somehow!! It is funny, isn't it? Why CHEST..?..because of man, maybe, who had been running and, finally, won making only the movement by his chest ahead of others, overtaking them..It could be the truth, too.
Etymology is great! I am so keen on it.
