The idea came, as many ideas do, after a drink at a bar. The moon had risen, it was lighting his table, and Christian Cajochen was having a discussion with his colleagues, some of whom were convinced they slept less well on a full moon.
Unlike most people who have such late night discussions Cajochen – Professor Cajochen – is a researcher in circadian rhythms. What’s more, he realised from his years studying sleep that he already had all the data he needed to prove his friends wrong.
