Just one dance

I was dancing my stress off in the center of the crowd, not really looking around, so I didn't notice that I had too much space around me, at least not for a few minutes.

When I actually opened my eyes, I was amused to find myself alone in a big opening, surrounded by awstruck spectators. Smiling, I kept on dancing, now moving more freely, since I had so much space.
Cheering me on, the crowd seemed to like my moves, so I gave them what they wanted, thoroughly enjoying myself in the process.

As one track was ending, and another one was just beginning, I heard a familiar voice calling my name, and looked behind my back. It was Kael, his eyes shining as well as his smile.

- How about a duet? - he asked, holding out his hand.

Amazed, I nodded and put my hand into his warm fingers.

There are no words for this...

If we ever were close enough to seem related, it was a joke compared to this level of unity. We were moving in such synch, that the dance seemed rehearsed a million times. The spectators went wild, but we were too busy to acknowledge that.

One heartbeat, one line of feelings, one ... We were one.
Internally I was in shock, but my body wasn't listening to reason - only music and Kael were leading it on.
There were no limits, no brakes or taboos - only pure passion.

As the music came to an end, I found myself very close to Kael, one of my hands wrapped around his shoulders, and another on his cheek, my fingers widely spread so I could touch his neck too.

He was holding me in the same fashion, the difference was that he held most of my weight, as I was bent back, one leg in the air.
Breathing heavily, he helped me up, and we stood, holding each other and touching our foreheads.

- Thank ... you... - I mumbled, trying to calm my racing pulse. Kael smiled, not warm as usual, but predator-like, and it scared me.

Suddenly terrified, I rushed out of his arms, briefly meeting the pained gaze of Paulina, as she stood stiffly in the crowd. Before I could reach the edge of the opening, though, Kael caught me by my wrist and pulled me back. He was a thousand times stronger than me, and easily subdued any resistance I tried to show.

- I'm never letting you go after THIS. A gentleman is expected to marry after he did such things to a girl.
Against my will, I chuckled with him over this, and then he pressed his lips to mine, obeying to the crowds' chanting.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
I trembled with fear and elation, but Kael had no regard to that.
He knew.
Oh my.

- Let yourself go, Al... Like when we danced, no bounds. - he whispered over my lips, and his words set my blood on fire.

I could have sworn that I never really kissed before this... Unbearable desire swept through my body, not leaving anything untouched, twisting my fingers into Kaels' hair and digging my (mercifully cut) nails into one of his arms. Vertigo hit like a wave, making me forget every single reason I had not to do this.

It all burned away, consumed by the blazing flames.
