The final judgement

All work done jolly Tommy was heading back home. As usual he took a bus, found an empty seat and was about to take a bit bite of a ripe wine-red apple that he picked up at one of the stores nearby when he felt this. The cold penetrating feeling, like someone was picking with an icy needle the deepest depths of his soul, examining them, looking even at all that small sins that he tried to hide all his life. Suddenly he remembered how being only five years old he got angry with his little sister and stole a doll from her and did not tell her that even when she was crying about the loss of her beloved Betty. Tommy felt that now the time had come - the punishment, the final judgement. He turned his head to see his destiny, his doom, his death.

A young girl was sitting right in front of him, strict impecable brown costume, beautiful flowing hair, the gaze of eyes green like spring young tree leaves with sunny gold sparkles making his insides tremble with nervousness, awe and fear. He tried to smile - maybe the judge will show mercy on him today. No reaction. He felt how his heart was beating hard and desperate trying to take the best before end. Yes. He realised it. There is no escape. He must pay and take the responsibility for all he has done and will do. And perhaps a small gift will show how deep his regret is and how thankful he is to this beautiful judge for unveiling all that he denied before. Tommy stretched out to the girl his trembling hand with a crimson apple in it. A moment of hesitation, the gaze fell down and she took it. Yes! The judge accepted his gift! Overflown with emotions, Tommy jumped up and fell out of the bus which had just stopped at the next station.

"What was that all about?" - thought she. She was just returning from the office and for a second got lost in her thoughts about that damned document with its crazy structure, when a man with eyes of a martyr ready to die put an apple in her hand and jumped out of the bus... Strange, very. But also cute. What a big apple!
