Tender as a loving lover
The night embraces our world
Blankets us with starry cover
So we could withstand the cold
Of resentment and despair
We inflict upon ourselves
Scarring layer after layer
Trapped inside our private cells.
Be my friend or be my brother
I won’t hide myself from you
We don’t have to live another,
And with this one our days are few
Take my heart
It’s hard and hollow
Breathe in light
Inside its shell
Call my name
And I will follow…
…if he only knew my name…
