Tears of Happiness
One day when in the sky was deep-moon night Rebecca asked Pulsie.
- Do you want to go to Seattle, Pulsie? – proposed Rebecca to her dog.
- Haw, haw, - answered roughly Pulsie.
Next morning they were at the airport. Their flight was terrible because of bad services and cruel stewards on the board. Horrible things just to think! The plane landed, Rebecca and Pulsie with stone hearts went to Terminal 2.
Oh, what was a miracle!
Mickie was waiting for her near Gate 8 (Rebecca’s lucky number) with a bouquet of roses and daisies. The sun was shining brightly and they decided to go along the main streets of Seattle in such lucky weather. It was so amazing for her to stare at big modern buildings, churches and cafes after poverty-stricken Mouseville. Through the shop windows she saw images of such famous people as Madonna, Elvis Presley, Walt Disney, G. Bush and many others stars of Hollywood. She looked at them with a sinking heart; only the sun was shining brightly and there weren’t light puff clouds in the blue sky, breeze played his light life in Rebecca’s hair and she dreamed to be a super-star like they. Suddenly her way of thoughts was interrupted by Mickie and barking voice of Pulsie.
- What are you thinking about? – asked Mickie.
- About those people, they are famous they reach their own peak of life, career they all like stars in our galaxy, – murmured Rebecca.
- What did you mean when you said that? – Mickie asked again.
- I also want to be famous I want to have a flight to Mars, – said Rebecca with trembling in her voice.
- Oh, yea, I completely forgot I’ve got two tickets to Mars and our express star-inter ship will be at 6.00 p.m. Now 5.15 p.m. hurry up, Rebecca!
The Star-Inter-Ship Station, 6.00 p.m.
Rebecca and Mickie took their seats (they had to leave Pulsie on the Earth because she was afraid of any kind of machine). It was big green machine and had only three seats, two of them for passengers and one for a pilot. The signals “fasten your belts” and found themselves in the darkness.
- I’m afraid, Mickie,– said Rebecca
- Don’t worry, honey just close your eyes and relax, everything will be OK, be sure we’ll return on the Earth in 5 days in safety, - promised Mickie.
Mars. Station Oak-Tree
There were no lights of the sun only reddish sparkling of lanterns. Rebecca and Mickie could hardly stand because of being tired. There was one thought ‘sleep, sleep’. When the clouds of dust became disperse they saw a crowd of people who looked like Earth’s citizens but with greenish complexion. The guide said ‘Zdorbyl’ it meant ‘Hello’ and moved them to the hotel ‘Mazara’. Those were the best days in their life. They were in a fairy-tale instead of elves and gnomes there were real Marsians. They listened to them with admiration about the Earth life, about wars and conflicts especially about terrorism because Marsians hadn’t known even the notion of those words. They lived in peace and quiet and Rebecca decided to give them seeds of apple-tree and many others bushes. The Marsians were happy like children in the toy shop. It was their common dream to grow a big green garden on the Red Planet. The guide in his turn presented Rebecca and Mickie a little sack of Marsian land mixed with minerals for happiness, luck and love.
Seattle. Night. The Star-Inter-Ship Station
Two black figures went along the main street of Seattle. They went home to Pulsie, their favourite dog. Rebecca stopped for a minute and looked at the star-sky in the depths of our Galaxy. Yes, it was a journey to remember, she was happy and her eyes were watering and it was tears of happiness.
