Types
The first category is the boring teacher. We all had them in school. Because of them we always wanted to sleep in class. They usually have really quiet, monotone voice, undistinguished looks and are probably wearing glasses. Sounds familiar? I’m sure right now you can remember at least five teacher from your school who are exactly this type. My history teacher was this type. I always slept in her class, because I had history in the morning and it was impossible to listen to her.
The next group is young teacher. This type of teacher has a lot of different subgroups like hot-teachers, insecure teachers and too confident teachers. All of them will probably have the worst first year of work, especially if they work in High School, somewhere in a bad district. In my school, we had an English teacher like that. She was really quiet and unconfident, but at the same time she was trying to look confident, and it was pathetic. I know, kids can be really rude and complicated, but if you can’t handle it, you shouldn’t be a teacher. This English teacher once said to my best friend: “If you don’t stop discussing my lesson, I will give you a C for your work in this class.” My best friend was really happy, because she probably would have a D for this assignment.
Last, but not least are teachers who think that their subject is the most important subject in the world. My physics teacher was this type. I had 5 hours of her subject per week even when I was in school with humanitarian direction (most of the subjects are supposed to be arts and humanities). Every time when one of our teacher became ill, we had physics! She thought that we didn’t need to study for exams, we should spend all our free time trying to understand Newton’s Law. I think she had her own Law of life: “Life is given for you, that you dedicated it to physics”. I love this teacher and now I understand that everything she gave us in that class, we use in our lives. But, I still hate physics.
All our teachers can be very different, but all of them are doing the same thing – they are trying to teach us everything they know and even more. I think we suppose to be thankful for that, and it doesn’t matter what kind of types these teachers are.
