A dozen of running matches in a row
This was the case in my analysis of Etruscan inscription TLE 642. When reading it, I found the following important matches:
1. The direction of reading (from right to left) coincided with usual, normal direction of reading of Etruscan inscriptions.
2. The values of Etruscan characters (letters) which I used are the same as those adopted in modern Etruscology.
3. The name CALU (the second word in the inscription) coincided with the name which is well-known from other Etruscan texts.
4. The name CALU coincided with the image, as it was written on the side of a bronze statuette of wolf-dog. It is known that Calu was an Etruscan chthonic demon who had a wolf-like appearance.
