Chapter 17
At last the Christmas came. It was on 25th of December. Chris set up three Christmas trees in his mother’s place, in Luisa’s parents’ house and in their new flat. Jane has already passed all her quizzes and exams with the best results. She had the marvelous spirit and together with Luisa they helped to decorate all three Christmas trees. It was not very difficult for them, but of the contrary ‘happily.’ Luisa’s belly became fatter a little bit and she had been suggested by her director to stay at home as she must take care of her future baby’s health. Luisa agreed with her chief and thanked her for this wonderful suggestion. During their decoration of the Christmas tree at the flat, Luisa remembered about Betty and made a decision to buzz her to Warsaw. The telephone calling was so quick and Betty picked up the receiver in haste: “Hallo, speaking please.” “Hi Betty my wee, how’re you there?” began to speak Luisa over the phone. “Hi Luisa, I’m ok, I want to come to you, but my father acquired three tickets for the baby show, which will perform in the House of Culture tonight. And we must go there together and I eager of your coming with us. They will present the sweet gifts for the children and I got settled to apart them with you.” explained Betty all her situation and sobbed with some sadness. “Thank you my Betty and I also want to be with you my dear wee, but at the moment it is very difficult for me to move in such long distance because of my pregnancy. I wanted to invite all of you to celebrate the Christmas party with us tonight. If you had enough time, please welcome to our place. We shall expect for all of you with much happy. And besides, I will Love you for aye.” admired Luisa and as usually they kissed each-other over the phone and said ‘so long.’
All family decided to celebrate the Christmas in a new flat, even though that place was so tiny they were too happy and glad in everything. Poll and Chris spread a table near the Christmas tree and covered it by the tapestry and in upper was the polythene against any muddying. Luisa and Jane accurately served a table by the cutlery and put the colored napkins beneath the every plate. In the middle of the board they put a bottle of champagne and a bottle of the red ‘Winter Wine.’ Polly and Helen prepared many different dishes such as: mashed buttered potatoes with the mushrooms and decorated by some dill; the beef chops with the nuts, different mixed salads with vegetables and the fruits; the poultry with an orange dressing inside; the cut boiled eggs covered by some gravy with aroma of carnation; cut some cheese and sausage; oiled herring under some onion; fried fish below the green little branches of parsley; fresh sliced tomatoes and the cucumbers with more the green olives. The holiday board looked marvelously, only the candles missed with their lighting, but instead of them Luisa bought the sparkles for feeling too much light in the house. Sure before the supper all the members of the family commenced to pray to the Lord and after this praying they set at their places and had a good eating. Chris and Luisa were sitting near the Christmas tree, Jane was at her sister and opposite them were Helen with Polly and Poll. The sparkling drink was poured by Chris into the crystal glasses with its thick foam for pronouncing of the first ‘high say’ to Christmas. And then they were having some food more. On TV was the official congratulation from mister President for all Poland and later the local Governments sparkled the amazing fireworks over every city in their country. Luisa pulled out the sparkles and handed out to everyone for lighting them and to meet the most praised, the big holiday Christmas to the God. During all this making merry the whole family was singing the carols; were laughing and were kidding; told and recollected the interesting episodes of stories about their life and were watching TV. But nobody was drunk at all. It was one more case to know each-other much better. All family felt only much happy, but nothing more and merely much happy. At four o’clock about dawn Chris, Luisa and Jane fell asleep in their sitting position on the little canap;, but Helen Polly and Poll decided to put the prepared small gifts into the socks for everyone, for revealing them in the morning and under the Christmas tree they put the gift-boxes with the wonderful wide colored favorites. Later the parents also tired a little and also they slept on the sofa. The ladies were sleeping in lie, but Poll decided to sit onto the arm-chair and to watch TV. There were different programs there: about the Christmas concerts, the features and the documentary films, the cartoons, and the High Mass in the Church.
Suddenly Chris woke up and discovered Luisa’s position in discomfort. He stood up and put a soft pillow onto the brim of the canap; with asking Jane to join to the mums to have some sleeping there. Jane did it without any indignation. Then he put Luisa in her strait position for her resting well. Poll was watching for Chris at that moment and at finally he jogged up and helped to his son-in-low. “I’m very deeply impressed of your taking care about my daughter in such excellent way. Thank you very much, my son. I hope that you’ll be the most faithfully family as we are with Polly.” whispered Poll and wept a little bit. “I Love Luisa very strong with much passion in my soul and I can’t live without her, she is everything for me. She is my Angel.” responded Chris and they got settled to have some bite anew while the ladies were dreaming. “You are my son, more even, as more as my son and I want to drink some wine to you with Luisa. We grew up our daughters very nicely and gave to them all our kindness, Love, tenderness and taking care. I hope that you’ll make in same way. In addition to, I’m very glad, that I would be a grandfather and Polly with Helen will take the role as the grandmothers.” said Poll in silence not to wake up the ladies and drank some wine from his crystal glass. Chris also drank some lemonade together with Poll and they ate some potatoes with the mushrooms. Then Chris and Poll were communicating among them about the different things within two more hours. Poll promised to help to his children in every way and with permitting to ask him everything. And Chris thanked Poll for his supporting and generously.
In a flash, Luisa opened up her eyes and started to listen to her father’s and husband’s talk. She stood in silence and edged to Chris with her hugging him: “Good morning my dear men. I see you didn’t sleep at all this night and your condition is too weary.” whispered Luisa and set near Chris and then she added: “I’m hungry like a tiger and would eat everything here.” “Sure eat, my dear daughter, you always ought to be in a good shape and don’t refuse for yourselves in anything.” supported Poll to his daughter. Chris put a lot of food onto Luisa’s plate and kissed her in cheek. And while her eating the beef chops, Luisa seemed the gifts under the Christmas tree: “Wow, how nice presents here. I’m even dizzy. Chris embraced his wife and promoted: “Please my dear Luisa, keep your head together. Be in a good form. You’re in my hands. You are my darling.” said Chris and let Luisa approach to the gift-boxes. Like a baby, Luisa revealed the titled gift box with her name and she unwrapped it up so quickly. There was a splendid lacy dress in pink with the wonderful little roses especially for the pregnant women. Luisa was very glad of this dress and she wanted to try it on in the bathroom. She went there and did it very soon. In couple minutes she appeared in front of Poll and Chris in her new dressing. “How I look like, my dear men?” At that moment Luisa looked like so sexy and attractively that Chris even lost his tongue of speech. “Oh mine God! You are so b’ beautiful and s’ sympathy.” spelt Chris and gulped some mineral water to drain his throat. Luisa converged to her husband and set near him again: “Thank you my dear. This present is amazing and made very deep impression onto my heart.” admired Luisa and kissed Chris firmly. “Everything is for you my darling merely be happy.” responded Chris and began to kiss Luisa in her lips. Poll also was glad of this and his soul was calm because his children were in order.
In thirty minutes all the members of the family got up and found their gifts which were bought for each-other. Jane got mini lady’s bag and a small bottle of perfume with some aroma of the ‘Wild Wood Violate.’ After its opening it began to smell so widely, that Luisa had at once an easy allergy of running nose. Jane shut the plastic dome of the perfume bottle in haste and excused in front of her sister: “Sorry my sister, I hadn’t any intention to do this. I forgot and will never recur this anew.” Luisa didn’t offend at Jane and she ate some herring for breaking of this allergy. Polly and Helen got the new silk blouses with the luster sparkles on the area of breast. The ladies were very glad and happy after their trying them on. Poll got the very exclusive shirt with the golden cuffs. At finally Chris had been gotten the warm modern jacket ‘North Face.’ Luisa helped Chris to wear it on and with her zippering up she hugged a husband so tightly and said: “You’ll be the most modern man in our city, my darling. I Love you.” touched Luisa Chris’s cheek by her lips and kissed him again and again. Everyone tried on his own thing and the whole family was admiring of this presenting. Then they had breakfasted again and met the New Year. “In this year one more little girl will appear in our family. And I hope that she will be as beautiful as all the ladies in our generations, I mean to say of our both families. Thanks God that we have had the right way in our life. Let us drink to us.” said Poll aloud this promotion and they all drank some champagne. Later bit they began to phone to their relatives with the best congratulations in this Near Year.
The Big Holiday lasted the several days and it meant that lot of people were out of their work for the good resting at the places and had too much shopping. The time passed a little bit so Jane, Polly, Helen and Poll assisted to clean everything after the good party and then they made a decision to go to the place with their permission to leave Luisa and Chris in lonely. “Oh mine God! We haven’t some sex among us too long time and I eager of this much.” suggested Luisa and she started to tease Chris with her easy stripping of the presented pinky tempted lacy dress. Chris only was staring at his wife’s undressing at that moment, but Luisa didn’t stop her slowly baring. During her sitting on a stool Luisa felt some discomfort at once and some sharply pain in the area of the lower part of a belly. The first attack of this bitter pain was too short and it released Luisa for a while. The girl made a sigh of relief and calmed down. But in a minute the bitter attack recurred one more time and it was as more seriously as the first one. Luisa took out her SIMENCE from the inner pocket of the cloak and dialed Chris’s number in haste. She said the several words and something had happened with her and I’ve no idea. I’ll go home and will call an ambulance.” was in horror Chris and hurried home. “Ok go, I’ll fix this repairing and will come too.” responded Poll and started to work quicker. Having run to the place Chris was dialing for the emergency call: “Please, need a help for my wife. She is so bad in her condition. Come to us in address the Flower street of 7th flat 15. Merely hurry up!” The girl receptionist at the Hospital received Chris’s call and sent there the vehicle of ambulance. Chris was jogging with all his speed through the huge crow, only the people were paying the sharp attention at him.
But in happy, Jane was passing by their building and she decided to visit her sister with her little cheering up not to bore alone. Jane rang at the bell but nobody opened the door. Jane had a spare key and unlocked the flat easily and after her entering inside she revealed Luisa down on the floor. “Mine God! Luisa, my sister, please wake up.” began to cry Jane with trying to lift her sister onto the sofa. Then she clasped her face a little bit by her palms and Luisa opened her eyes: “Where am I? What’s wrong with me?” whispered Luisa and moaned a little. “Everything is ok I’m with you my sister. Now wait, I’ll give a call to a mother.” promoted Jane and started to dial the mother’s number. But that line was busy because the chief was speaking with her friend. They were discussing the future shopping on the weak-end together. Then Jane began to give a call to Helen’s place and that answer was in success. “Yes speaking please.” Mum Helen, please come to Luisa’s and Chris’s flat. Luisa is looking like too bad.” was sobbing Jane and persuaded Helen to move as quickly as possible. With the words ‘yes, I will be there in a soonest way’ Helen rushed outside for moving to save her daughter-in-low. The Doctors arrived in seven minutes to the pointed address and began to examine Luisa. “Her condition is very seriously, just need to make more additional examining for her pregnancy. She is very weak and she needs in good resting.” explained the Doctors to Jane and they commenced to fetch Luisa into the vehicle. Chris continued to run forward without any right crossing the roads and without any observing to watch for the traffic-lights. But the ambulance took Luisa to the Hospital and when the last crossing left for reaching to the place Chris saw the medical car with the alarmed bulbs and caught everything. ‘It is she. They have taken her already. I must go to the medical center.’ In a faint somebody touched his shoulder and asked: “Chris hi, what’s your line?” Chris turned back and saw his aunt Tanya with Betty. “Luisa is not well, she is at the Hospital now and I ought to go there.” “Don’t worry Chris we shall go there together and will help you.” said Tanya and Betty petted Chris by their palms. “Quick! Go there immediately. I’ll be saving my sister.” demanded a little girl and they entered into the just arrived tram.
And meantime at the Hospital Luisa had been examined by the Doctors in the sharpest way and they came to the conclusion: ‘Luisa had too weak organism because of her ignorance to eat well enough. Luisa didn’t want to fat and she decided to be on a diet. But she kept this secret in her soul. “Well the young lady. You should eat according this timetable without any ignorance to fear to become fat. Otherwise you are rescue with your health and your future baby’s health too. Just follow all my instructions and do not kid with it, ok. You have to remain here for one week. And now have some rest and you Jane, please keep an eye for her.” instructed a Doctor Luisa together with Jane and went away to his study. “Thank you Jane for your visiting me and saving of my life.” sobbed Luisa and wept a little bit. “That’s ok my sister, now I’ll take care of you more frequently. But I must say to you that it wasn’t my calling up to the Doctors. And I don’t know, who did it at all.” and after these Jane’s words Tanya, Betty and Chris appeared in the treated-room, for they asked the duty administrators about just arrived young pregnant girl and they directed them into the genecology section. ”Chris, Betty, aunt Tanya hi, I’m ok, don’t worry.” began to confess Luisa in front of everyone. Betty and Chris converged to Luisa and hugged her with their kissing: “I was running so fast and saw your going away to the Hospital. Then my aunt Tanya with Betty met me and we came here. Jane, thank you very much, for taking care. And what had happened with you?” asked Chris and began to pet Luisa’s hands. “That’s ok. I’m all right just I was too weak and lost my conscious. I need to eat more with using of some vitamin-mixture. I was scaring to be too fat and thought about your ignorance to lose any interest for me. Forgive me please.” complained Luisa and pulled out the several tears from her sympathy blue eyes with leaning her head to Chris. Betty started to persuade Luisa not to weep: “My dear Luisa I will be with you too. I’ll never leave you. You’re so beautiful and pretty that my brother will never lose his interest to you. He loves you very much.” “Exactly right she is. I Love you and would Love you all my life my darling Luisa.” confirmed Chris and kissed his wife in lips with much tenderness.
In couple minutes Helen, Polly and Poll came to the genecology attach, because Helen hurried to the shop ‘Tesco’ for informing about Luisa’s case. “My dear daughter I didn’t know anything about you, but Helen visited my working place and informed me everything.” spoke Polly and approached to Luisa with some kissing her. “Mom, I gave a buzz to you, but there wasn’t answer.” interrupted Jane and brought a stool for Betty. “I know it. This is my chief. She likes to chat so impudently over the phone in her own way.” added Polly and then she suggested to go shopping for buying of some food. Everyone was calmed and they decided to go to the supermarket for buying of some provision for Luisa, but Chris left with his wife and began to advise her not to keep a diet because it was too danger: “Luisa I’m imploring you not think about the silly things. I Love you and will never stop to do it. You’re my life and the main sense in a heart and in my soul. If you wanted I would stay here for all the nights, merely always to see you, to hear you, to feel you, to Love you.” Having heard these phrases Luisa wept out and decided not to complex more about fatness and she promised to Chris to follow all her regular timetables of eating. But after this communication all the members of the family came back and fetched the different fruits and some special food for the pregnant women. Betty bought a package of some sweet for Luisa and put it onto the table: “This is for you my dear Luisa. Keep your head together and be in a good health.” wished Betty and kissed Luisa in her cheeks. “Thank you my dear wee. I’m so deeply impressed by this, but you have bought for me too much food and I fright that it is everything will spoil, because I won’t catch to eat this all in time.” “We will visit you every day and shall make you eat perfectly.” added Jane with Chris and then the duty nurse came and asked the visitors to leave the treated-room for Luisa has to take some mixture with her good resting alone. Chris hadn’t any great desire to leave his wife, but Luisa persuaded him not to bother about her and let him go home in calm. “Go Chris and relax at home, don’t think badly. And you go home and have some sleep.” “I can’t imagine my presence alone at home without you, my darling.” sobbed Chris and was kissing his Luisa. Chris couldn’t see off with his wife too long, but still he had been convinced by Luisa to go to the place. Helen with Tanya and Betty went to their flat for putting there at the night time. At Luisa’s home Chris couldn’t sleep at all. He lay in Luisa’s room and thought merely about his wife. At the same time he wept and prayed to the Lord for saving Luisa and their baby. Suddenly Polly and Jane heard Chris’s weeping and they decided to enter inside: “Chris can we come in to you? We just heard your voice and came to cheer you up.” proposed Polly and Jane together and they set onto the chairs. “Sorry mom Polly, for I can’t sleep at all. And I hadn’t any idea about Luisa’s diet. She didn’t tell to me about anything.” began to confess Chris with his easy sobbing. “Calm down Chris, my son. I am not going to blame you. I may say that mostly all pregnant women usually have such complexes about this fatness. Just Luisa stayed alone at home and she thought that she had lost her wonderful figure and her beauty stopped to attract you. The young damsels aye think in such way. You’re innocent here, but of the contrary we can see your Love to Luisa and it is very huge. Do not have some anxious and have some rest please.” Within one hour Polly, Jane and Chris had been chatting seriously among them and at last Chris fell asleep. Polly and Jane left him for his good sleeping and went into their rooms. Polly lay into the bed, but her soul was also in restless condition, because she had some timid for her daughter Luisa.
