Once upon a time I caught a star,
Shiny and so hot it burned my hands.
Once upon a time I walked so far
Barely have I found where my ship lands.
Every other day I lose this pier.
Shall I close my eyes - I’m drifting off.
Every other time there is no here,
Each and every time the world comes off.
Once upon a time a life ago
Books taught me about other tracks.
Once upon a time a velvet crow
Told me: time to pay a flair tax.
Can I step away from being weird?
How do I turn off this double life?
Half of me seems always to be smeared,
Half of me is longing for the light.
