О важности заступничества
Как Бог относиться к молитвенникам? Бог сделал нас свидетелями диалога между Ним  и Авраамом, которому посвящена вся 18 глава книги Бытия. Начинается она так: «И явился ему Господь у дубравы Мамре, когда он сидел при входе в шатер, во время зноя дневного. Он возвел очи свои и взглянул, и вот, три мужа стоят против него. Увидев, он побежал навстречу им от входа в шатер и поклонился до земли...» (Бытие 18:1-2).
Дальше идут подробности и детали их встречи. Там были важные разговоры, в том числе обещание Бога, которое заставило Сару  рассмеяться. Но мы не будем останавливаться на этом, а сразу перейдем к сути, связанной с нашей темой: « И сказал Господь: вопль Содомский и Гоморрский, велик он, и грех их, тяжел он весьма; сойду и посмотрю, точно ли они поступают так, каков вопль на них, восходящий ко Мне, или нет; узнаю. И подошел Авраам и сказал: неужели Ты погубишь праведного с нечестивым? Господь сказал: если Я найду в городе Содоме пятьдесят праведников, то Я ради них пощажу все место сие» (Бытие 18:20-23;26).
Но Авраам знает, что в этом городе не найдется пятидесяти праведников, он спрашивает постепенно о меньшем числе и так, «торгуясь с Богом»,  доходит до 10. Бог отходит от него потому,  что в этом городе не было и 10 праведников. Если бы в Содоме нашлось десять праведников, 10 человек на весь город, которые молились бы за этот город, то город не был бы разрушен. Вот цена молитвы  – судьба целого города!

Пусть дождь да не зальет костер души моей,
Да не потушит пламя равнодушие.
Сегодня встану я опять с молитвою за всех,
Чтоб голос зла слабее стал и глуше.
Мне прощены грехи, мой статус возвращен,
Могу владычествовать я на суше и на море,
Чтоб землю сатана не превратил в Содом,
Чтоб не настиг опять нас смертный страх Гоморры.


The importance of intercession

What is God's attitude toward intercessors?  God made us to be a  witnesses of a dialogue between Him and Abraham, to this dialogue is dedicated the whole chapter of the book of Genesis. It begins thus: "And the Lord appeared to him at the oak grove of Mamre, when he was sitting at the entrance to the tent, during the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, three men stood opposite him. Seeing, he ran to meet them from the entrance to the tent and bowed to the ground ... "(Genesis 18:1-2).

Further go details  of their meeting. There were important conversations, including the promise of God, which made Sarah laugh. But we will not stop on this, but immediately go to the point, which is connected with our theme: "And the LORD said: The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah, great is he, and their sin, he is very heavy; I'll go down and see if they do exactly like that, how screaming for them, rising to Me, or not; I find out. And Abraham approached and said: "Will you destroy the righteous with the wicked?" The Lord said: If I find fifty righteous in the city of Sodom, then I will spare all this place for them "(Genesis 18: 20-23, 26).

But Abraham knows that in this city there are not fifty righteous people, he asks gradually about a smaller number and so, "bargaining with God", reaches 10. God leaves him because there were no 10 righteous in this city. If there were ten righteous men in Sodom, 10 people for the whole city who would pray for this city, then the city would not be destroyed. Here is the price of prayer - the fate of the whole city!

May rain not flood the fire of my soul,
And indifference do not extinguish my flame.
Today I will rise again with prayer for all,
So that the voice of evil becomes weaker and weaker.
I am forgiven of my sins, my status is returned,
I can dominate on land and at sea,
So that Satan will not turn the land into Sodom,
So that Gomorra's mortal fear will not overtake us again.
