Difficulties of teacher role
As for me, I can’t accept the opinion that everyone could become a teacher, and there are many reasons why I suppose so. First of all, it’s not a secret that some people are more communicative, others less. That’s why not everyone can teach people, because this occupation demands special skills of communication and it may take a lot of time to comprehend all the necessary teaching methods. Rarely does a man without any experience become a really good teacher. Secondly, some people, trying to teach others, concentrate on rules, not minding that the foundation of success is not just working over and over, but ability to find approach to every student in order to help him. So, I suppose, such kind of people can’t assess the knowledge of students properly.
However, some people have an opposite opinion. They believe, that every native speaker can become a teacher because he has profound knowledge in the subject. What’s more, he knows up-to-date language and can help pupils improve their skills. So, native speaker can share his experience with pupils and can let them have all necessary knowledge for real communication with other native speakers.
Nevertheless, I still stick to the point that only some of the carriers of language can be teachers. Not everyone can understand pupils well, because not every human has been in their shoes.
As a result, I’d like to say that this question is open for the discussion. But despite different views, I still stay on my ground. Well, it’s up to you to decide, whether it’s admissible to let everyone become teacher or not, but I suppose it’s not right.
