indeed that is correct, for Satan lost his place with God due to vanity of his position with God which was bestowed on him before God created Human.

yes, I saw the movie about a year ago. And devil there was SO real. I don't like such movies, but sometimes watch... :)
about vanity or pride... yes, we believe the same. That’s why in Christianity is better to see yourself weak and helpless (without God) than become proud about your "rightness".
It’s very PRACTICAL lesson for me, I feel God's hand upon me almost every time, which helps me not to be proud... 'cause from time to time I am. I know.

he was my "friend" as well and I suffered a lot. And now he is rather close to me again. But I even don't want to talk about it and give it any attention. In fact it just helped me to understand my weak points and brought me closer to God.

no, it just goes in this way (practically) when you think you are completely good and clean God shows you YOU REAL... and you have to start to fight again.
In Christianity there is a STEP-WAY, how, in which order you have to fight your sins. Firstly comes fight with your stomach. Then with lust... so I'm here now, cause food doesn't mean much to me. But of course as long as we are alive we can't be sure. Only when we leave.
