Не может быть

Несколько лет тому назад я опубликовал вот такую короткую реплику:
Who is Kanishka?

                by Dr. V.Osipov

Kanishka is said to have been one of the famous Kushan kings. He is considered to be the builder of the fire temple at Surkh Kotal. However, the person whose name should be ‘Kanishka’ had never existed. Man with that name had never been  in reality. More than that, this personal name itself, most probably, is artificial. It provides from a mistake in reading the following combination of characters in the Kushan coin legends: KANH;KI.
In fact, it is pronounced as KANHeTsKI and not KANIShKI. Moreover, we have here two words and not only one. These two words are: KAN and H;KI which mean “the Getic khan” or “Getae’s khan”. When written in Cyrillic letters they are: ХАН  ХЕТСКИ or ХАН ГЕТСКИЙ (in Modern Russian). These two words need not to be translated for one who speaks any Slavonic language. There is no here personal name. The coin’s legend only mentions a post (position) to be given.
Hence it becomes clear why, until recently, scholars have not been able to agree on the period of the reign of so-called ‘Kanishka’. This problem has no solution.
