- Расскажите, как всё получилось?

- Все говорили о Шекспире. Я тоже решил не отставать. Но кто-то из помощников или перепутал, или недопонял, и принес Пушкина. Я подумал: «почему нет?»
- All spoke about Shakespeare. I have decided not to lag behind too. But someone from assistants either has mixed, or has misunderstood, and has brought the book by Pushkin. I have thought: "why not?"

«Я вас любил: любовь еще, быть может,
В душе моей угасла не совсем…»
"I loved you: the love still, perhaps
In my soul have died away not absolutely …"


Думаю: хорошо написано. Позвонил, высказался. Хорошо поговорили.
I think: it is well written. I have called, I have spoken out. Have well talked.


Читаю дальше.
I read further.


«Но пусть она вас больше не тревожит;
Я не хочу печалить вас ничем.»
"But let she doesn't disturb you any more;
I don't want to grieve you with something."


Тут я насторожился. «Неспроста»,-думаю,-«сказано».
Here I have focused my attention. "With an ulterior motive", - I think, - "is told".


А дальше начался пессимизм:
And  a pessimism has begun further:


«Я вас любил безмолвно, безнадежно,
То робостью, то ревностью томим;
Я вас любил так искренно, так нежно,
Как дай вам бог любимой быть другим.»
"I loved you silently, hopelessly.
Shyness, jealousy were tormented.
I loved you so sincerely, so fondly,
How to give you God the beloved to be for another. "


В этот момент я понял, что нужно принимать решение. И принял.
At this moment I have understood that it is necessary to make the decision. Also I have made the decision.


- Вот так Шекспир получился!
- Such a Shakespeare was happened!


- Да! «Любите театр! Он реальнее жизни!»
- Yes! "Love a theater! It's more real than life!"


- Но вы не утрачивайте оптимизма. Сейчас новые культурные тенденции. Хэппи энд – один из приемов построения сюжета. Людовика XVI избрали председателем Национального Конвента.
- But you must not to lose optimism. Now there are new cultural tendencies. A "happy end" – one of methods of creation of a plot. Louis XVI was elected the chairman of National Convention.


- Это я знаю. Может быть, пойду на постановку произведения Гоголя «Вий». Если в Париж не уеду.
- I know it. Perhaps, I will go for the theatre statement of the novella by Gogol "Viy". If I don't go to Paris.
