A Short Preface

A certain quantity of miniatures was written by the author in English.

Those miniatures are not the translations.

The common concrete theme don't linking them.

Miniatures, written in English, are grouped in the separate collection. It seems, the most simple the name of the such Collection: "Miniatures in English".



1. The Statement of Emperor's press-secretary


The Roman Emperor Caligula visited historic places. He was reading gazettes, looking TV, walking along streets, interesting ocean scientific researches. Emperor's tour is over. Emperor is very impressed. "It's a new experience!" - said  Emperor.

2. The Tale of Blue Railway Car


The Wolf was going along the street. He had seen the Chip-o-click was crossing boulevard.

The Wolf captured the Chip-o-click's hand: "My dear! May I help you?"

"Oh! You are so kindly today!" - answered the Chip-o-click.

"Why so respected person is walking? going on foots?"

"My mission is to help the people!"

"O'Key, my dear! We must to hurry! Let we use the blue railway car!"

"You are the unexpected a little..."

But the Wolf yet set the Chip-o-click into the blue railway car.

The wagon's trip started.

"I always was helping the people!" - said the Chip-o-click.

"I like the people!" - stated the Wolf. He got out a little container the stylus for cleaning the teeth. And began to service the mouth.

The blue railway car arrived to the purpose point and stopped.

The Wolf and Chip-o-click came out.

The Wolf took the Chip-o-click for hand.

They raised their connected hands and simultaneously declared: "We love humans!"

The children around were looking and hearing.

Wolf and Chip-o-click began to sing a song:

"Rolling and rolling
Our blue wagon!!!".

Wolf announced:

"Certificate guarantee a great pleasure!!! This  Certificate I am delivering to our dear  Chip-o-click!"

The Chip-o-click took a Certificate and answered:

"My mission is to save the people!"

The mothers and their children, were around, began to cry. "We remember! Thank you!"

- What she is dreaming of?

- That people could to return back money from the bursted banks.

- It's good!

Gorky closed the book. He attempted to decide the  task of creativity: mentally construct the thoughts of the personage of this story - in present time.

The creative task proved the difficult.

Gorky was looking at  the screen.

The Monologue became to be appearing.

"Omar Khayyam - I know.

Ferdowsi - I know.

Facebook - ???

Instagram - ????

?"

"Who know, what he could thought", - Gorky switched to the news string.

8. The Short Story about the the turned-on Radio


Gorky turned on the radio.

- "I am Olympic championess of the two Olympic Games! Listen..!"

- "I am listening..." - Gorky thought.

- "Its a crash of World Olympic Movement!" - the man's bass voice was hooting.

- "?" - reacted Gorky.

- "Today February, 5, 2018! We dont know, how this day will be finished!" - the radio was talking.

- "The Champions" - Gorky has understood. And turned off the radio.

9. The Short Story about the New Robinson


New Robinson was reading the life story of Daniel Defoe.

Robinson has taken the sheet of paper and has split it by  line on two equal parts.

One part he entitled "The Good" and another - "The Evil".

He thought deeply and suddenly has sleeped. He saw the dream: Rip Van Winkle.

"The legend is arising" -  thought the Robinson.

Gorky turned on the radio.

"The girl with a big desire of a better life has written a book about relations with some men. She needs a marriage..."

"In our times such a books weren't written", - Gorky was surprised. - "Development of culture".

"There are villages, where only invalids with governmental financial support are living. Or only the PhDs..." - the correspondent informed  from the South area.

"Maybe,  the villages with only writers will appear ?" - asked Gorky.

"The  journalistess stretched the flag  in the Korea".

"Heavy" - Gorky tried to summarize.

13. The Fairy Tale about the Library on the Seacoast


Confucius and Jefferson were reading the books in the library on the Seacoast.

Confucius was reading the book by the one of the ancient wise men.

Jefferson  was reading the book by the one of the Enlightenment philosophers.

Simultaneously they heard the ringing signals of their mobile telephones and went toward verandah to converse at a fresh air.

They put their books on the table near the entrance to verandah.

Returning into the library  after the talks, Confucius took the book of the Enlightenment times,  Jefferson took the ancient  book.

They looked through the books.

"The man of knowledge" - they expressed their opinions.

Krzhizhanovsky focused his attention at the news.

At this moment sir Marc Isambard Brunel, Charles Pearson, sir John Fowler along a park alley were passing by.

Gleb Krzhizhanovsky slightly bowed to them. They slightly bowed, answering.

"Not here these events!" - Krzhizhanovsky thought, - "Of course, the news is not good ...".

He sighed, returned his attention to the game and continued playing chess.

19. The Fairy Tale of Park Alleys and Chess


Gleb Krzhizhanovsky was playing chess in a park with some partner.

"Electroenergy… The Metro… ... some persons .. tried to use the accident ... for personal purposes ... with the applying of a news sites and social networks! In a short time the normal mode of operation in all areas of life... was restored". 

Krzhizhanovsky focused his attention at the news.

At this moment sir Marc Isambard Brunel, Charles Pearson, sir John Fowler were passing by through the park alley.

They slightly bowed to Krzhizhanovsky.

Gleb Krzhizhanovsky slightly bowed to them, answering.

"Not here these events!" - Krzhizhanovsky reacted, - "The situation normalized? Of course, it’s the good news ...".

The news programme was completed. The song was: “And I am going toward you! And I am carrying you a flowers!..”

Krzhizhanovsky smiled, returned his attention to the game and continued playing chess.
