Happy New Dragon Year

Zu Ming was wandering beside a skyscrapper. It was a New Year Eve, however he was far from being happy or even inspired by the following holydays. He was dismissed the day before due to small error he had made in his work. What should he say to his family, how could he wish them good year? He  made two circles striding smoothly around the building. His poor family lived in the north of China and he was alone in Nankin. He worked in Secret Genetic Lab 1003 on the project intended to recover ancient dragon from bones had been found in mountains in Eastern
Manchuria. They separated DNA from the bones and the first dragon has been cloned. Ming’s duties were to make analyses and control its pulse. But then all was over with his work he should think about what to do now. Meanwhile the snowfall became harder.

Elly passed her last exam on Chinese language beforehand yesterday and was free to go home while her mates were still learning. It was a New Year Eve and she would like to be with her family in Kanzas, but she would not go. She had a raw with them. So she was walking around city center. She noticed a group of people who were having fun. They drank beer and laughing. She talked to them some time and they finally asked for a taxi and drove off. At the last moment she saw that they forgot a whole unstarted bottle of whiskey and tried to run to the taxi, but it was late. They went off. She had never drunk this before, nevertheless she picked it up.

….Day 178. The Sample02 is a bit nervous and don’t want to eat. We started tranqulizers for elephants.
Day 179. We changed day food, but the Sample02 still behaves strangely.
Day 180. The cell is broken. Our operator is hurted. The experiment is out of control….

Dr. Lu asked for an urgent meeting. As he and his dependents had fault the project, the whole affairs was now charged to the army. They need to describe the whole problem to the army generals. Dr. Lu said in his report. “…The Dragon is very dangerous. We fed him 15 kg of meat every day. It could swim, run, fly 5km in height and 70 km an hour, can throw fire 15 meters ahead. We have the first dragon in the Human history from 10000 years period and you should not shoot him. He is probably seeking not for food but for other dragons…”

Zu Ming decided to watch the city’s panorama from the skyscraper’s sight area. He walked around the area among the tourists who were laughing and speaking every languages except his own. There was a girl who didn’t speak, but he thought she was a tourist too. May be she was from US. She was white and had American whiskey in her hand. It was uncovered. May be she waited for the first minute of the New Year? It was strange - she didn't look like those girls who likes drinking whiskey alone. Apparently, she waited for her friends, not for a stranger to meet her. Or not? He finally decided to ask, and he made a step, another step and… a great noise and screams arose. The crowd of people started to move and run towards the elevator. The moment later he realized why. What creature he had known as “the Sample02” was flying towards the girl. He tried get to the girl before the dragon could achieve her. Unfortunately at the last moment they turned out to be right before his mouth and the dragon swallowed them at once…

Every biology textbook says about differences in lungs and gills, about differences in a human stomach and a cow stomach, but no one says anything about dragon’s stomach. It has about a half of its body’s volume and has approximately the same oxygen and nitrogen concentration as there are in air, so one, or two or even more people could breath here for some time. That’s why the story still runs.
The special aviation including helicopters were asked to watch after the dragon. They used ultrasonic sound and blinding light. They forced it to land and started to handle it on the earth. Surprisingly to them the dragon suddenly spit out two people, and fell asleep 2 minutes later. Reporters surrounded them and asked, how did they succeed to get out. The girl chuckled and Zu Ming said: “Alcohol intoxication. Happy New Year!” and threw the empty whiskey bottle away.
