In order to develop any skill you have to create your own drills and find a way to make your best. Use questions! Work with new questions every day: How? What? Why? Why not? How much? Etc. So, you want to learn a foreign language. For the beginning you might learn basic questions of the language and then find valuable information by using them. If you learn a new language, the valuable information for you would be as follows. How to learn this language? How to improve my learning abilities? How to improve my memory, attention, and imagination? How to develop my mental power? What’s the most inspirational “why” for learning languages? What can help me with learning? How much time should I invest in learning? Who is the best speaker, thinker, writer in this language? Why? Etc. You can make up new questions every day. Focus on time not on memorizing some words or rules. Seek something interesting for you. You don’t need to watch tv-shows, or news, or some other crap to understand a natural language. Use the realm which you already know well in your native language, which you know better than anything else and explore the realm with a new language. Make up a drill for every skill: reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking. At least you must have one exercise for each skill that you’re going to do several minutes every day; every day till you die.
