I’m going to continue talking about meaning. Yesterday I considered meaning in general, but now I’m going to focus on details. Every word has meaning only in a context of a sentence. The meaning of the sentence is determined by the purpose of its usage. The purpose makes the meaning more or less valuable. For example, sometimes the meaning of my writing is determined by only one simple purpose which is mastering of this linguistic skill. In this case I don’t think about meaning at all. I just write everything which comes up in a moment. Sometimes, however, I have another purpose as, for instance, developing some concepts about meaning. Then I’m focusing on the meaning seriously, which requires more time and attention, and results turn out to be more valuable. Sometimes, in order to write something really meaningful, I have to spent a huge amount of time, conduct lots of researches, and totally immerse into some themes. The more time and energy I spend to create a meaning, the more valuable it’s going to be. But the value of meaning lies also in an answer to the question: Who am I? If I’m a stupid jerk it’s not enough to invest 100 hundred hours in order to write one meaningful page. For the beginning I have to invest 10 years in self-development to become a genius in some sense. And only after that I can assume that everything written by me contains some sort of value and has profound meaning.
