Today I’m going to use this page to write a comment to Peterson’s lectures.
As many others who left their remarks here, I also think that it’s a very amazing stuff the professor shares with us. I used these lectures to learn English, and they really helped me to succeed. I’ve watched this whole course twice. While I was watching it first, I could understand only about 40% (I’m not talking about the content, but the language), but nonetheless it was so fascinating that I decided to invest all my time into learning English. Then, after half a year, I’m watching it again, and now I can understand almost everything.
Peterson uses Russian writers, whom I had pleasure to read in original, to support his concepts, and sometime he completely missteps on their points of view. I don’t want to say that he is wrong in everything, but the historical context left to him misunderstood. By the way I very appreciate his work even though in some points I may disagree with him.
I’m writing this due to lack of someone I can discuss these lectures with. I think that in order to figure out what was going on there it’s not enough just to watch the lectures. So I would like to talk about the stuff, and if you are too—let me know.
