Lea

Lea’s cheating the time:
Clever steps, frugal moves;
She’s a Queen of domain
Until husband gets home.

What she smartly created,
Sweating here, pinching there,
He’ll briskly destroy
As if nothing was there.

Wouldn’t blink, wouldn’t think,
His strong ego aflare.
Then, he’d not even build
Anything to replace it.

Years fly, then decades.
She’s creating, he’s braking.
She erects, he sweeps flat.
What a marriage is that?

She is in for her child,
She has nowhere to go.
She is sweet, she is clean,
He is trashy and slow.

She is smart, she is bright,
He’s extremely controlling.
I don’t know just why
This marriage is rolling.

He won’t go for divorce,
He won’t let her be free.
Dissolution of marriage
Is her everyday plee

In her mind, in her sole,
She’s still holding on
To her many a projects
Around this household

To, again, see destroyer
With nonchalant smile
Wiping life, leaving nothing
For her to stand by.

She is Queen of a nothing.
She is  wife of a no one.
How many such Leas
Have lived and got broken?
