People are Scared of 2012

People are scared of 2012:
Looking for the safe place to dwell;
Meeting their days with agitation,
Scorn, displeasure and alienation.

But I, I live already all alone
In a house with a family, so long,
Moaning in bed from lonely thoughts,
The despair is being my companion.

Someone holds onto fear of nature,
I am afraid of the lack of nurture,
Absence of love, silent routines
And mechanical movements in between,

Where nights are like soldiers straight in line,
Where days are shrinking in my mind,
And nothing can mightily intervene
The lonely circling in the dark ravine.

I’m not afraid of  2012 —
I already lost a place for my soul to dwell,
The reason to laugh, to cheer, and to greet!
If there is a disaster, then this is it.
