The Entertainers Don t Cry

The entertainers don’t cry.
Under masks, with a makeup
Their lives are lived so bright,
So great and very strength-like,

So, oh, nonchalant,
So brave, and so moving.
Even tears in their eyes
Are quite cool and so groovy.

Not a tremble in the soul,
Not for real at least,
Every time they do fall
With expression of fear.

The entertainers don’t cry!
Their wounds are well hidden.
Their happiness shines
As if granted and given.

After tumultuous day
When makeup is off limit
Do they secretly play
Life of being esteemed,

Life of being someone
From unlimited scripture?
No wonder then why
The entertainers don’t cry.
