I’ve started counting a new sequence of days that I called SPP. In these days, I want to concentrate strongly on workout and think about it as much as possible. I’m getting more and more convinced that thinking about any type of activity in English gives a lot of extra energy to perform the activity, especially if you are able to focus on one particular task and keep thinking about the task all day long. One of the best ways to focus your thinking on something is, of course, writing about it every day. Even if you write only several sentences reminding yourself at the end of every day what you’ve done, it’s already enough to develop a habit that in the long run may completely change your life.
If you’re able to concentrate on one task for a month and think about the task uninterruptedly, it’s possible to accomplish anything you want. I’ve made this assumption based on my experience in learning English, but would it work with something like MMA? Shifting all my attention to MMA is almost impossible—I’ll overextend myself in a few weeks, but in so far as I use English to describe everything I do, I can divide my attention between both English and MMA.
So these next 10 days, I’ll focus my mind mostly on workout, but not absolutely. I’m going to continue reading Paul Jonson’s book, which has nothing to do with MMA, and I’m also going to write posts in my group, however, as I already said, I’ll try to think about power as much as possible and direct my thoughts to the area anytime there would be an opportunity.
