[Alexey Makhinov] - In terms of world science the Bureya landslide - not unique, and it is rather, the ordinary phenomenon. In the USA and Canada there was similar, in Italy on a reservoir there was a landslide - 1900 people died. In the Andes, on Pamir there are phenomena more grandiose. In the USSR in 1986 on the Zeya River the mass of breeds – along the river extent in kilometer and 400 meters wide failed.

[Alexey Makhinov] - on June 3, 2007 on Kamchatka the landslide - about 20 million cubes which partitioned off the valley of the Geyzernoy River came down. Dam 300 meters long 200-250 meters wide in the widest place, up to 50 high. And in the same place large landslide on January 4, 2014. The river course in riverheads Geyzerna  river was Partitioned off with a dam  behind which the lake was formed. Yes what it is far to go: the mountain lake Amouth was formed owing to a landslide. Recently, a landslide 200 meters long and 10 meters wide with stones one and a half meters across occurred on Khekhtsir.
