Beauty s Unassigned
It can dwell in trees,
It can dwell in snow
Or a girl that dreams.
No one can erase it,
No one can condemn it,
Beauty's universal
In the beholder's eyes.
I would scream in terror,
I would fall to pieces,
If my heart stopped seeing
Beauty all around:
In a wrinkled apple,
In a sprouting flower,
Mazes of unknown,
As a girl who's proud,
In the Grand Canyon's sight,
Bottom of the ocean.
Everywhere you're going
Beauty's unassigned.
