In Trouble, The Cat Becomes a Lion          

I recently read a story about a young couple who decided to relax a little before bedtime, smoke on the balcony, and breathe in the fresh air.
They had two children, which they had already put in bed.
“We need to take a break ourselves before the next working day,” they said.
They smoked one cigarette each, told each other yesterday’s news, and decided to return to the apartment.
But they couldn’t get in! It turns out that the lock on the balcony door had accidentally clicked! What to do?
“We pulled and pulled the door, but to no avail!”
It was a dark night in the neighborhood, the neighbors were sleeping, and their own children were already having their sweet dreams!
But the young couple didn’t want to spend the night on the balcony! Who can help?! The young parents became sad and very cold as they waited for help.
And then help came! Do you know who helped?
The family loved pets very much. They had a cat named Barsik.
The cat saw his owners through the window, immediately realized what had happened, and even tried to open the door, but he did not succeed.
The cat even showed his paws as if saying, “I can’t help you out because I don’t have hands, only paws.”
After that, the animal began to meow loudly. He made so much noise that the eldest son woke up and opened the balcony door.
The family was very grateful to their pet! Hooray, he saved them!

A similar incident occurred with my neighbor Valentina Fedorovna Medvedeva.
She was on vacation in the winter and was at home all day, raising her grandson, five-year-old Sasha.
Valentina decided to cook a delicious dinner for her daughter's family. The vegetables were stored on the balcony and she decided to use them to cook borsch.
Grandma took what she needed and went to return to the apartment, but... the door was locked!
Inside her beloved grandson just stood and smiled! Valentina Fedorovna began shouting at the child to open the lock, but the boy laughed a little more and went into the nursery, forgetting about his grandmother and playing with his toys.
Grandmother called her grandson for a long time, but he didn’t hear her because he laid down on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep!
What a mess!
Her neighbors were all at work and you can’t hear anyone from the tenth floor!
She was on the balcony until her daughter came home from work. Of course, the woman had a fever.  She caught a cold and remembered this incident for a long time.

And the other Valentina, my former employee, also had a similar experience.
She was temporarily staying in the cottage of her daughter, who went on a vacation abroad with her family.
In the courtyard there was a winter garden. A large German Shepherd dog also lived there. 
Valentina Nikiforovna decided to feed the dog and went out into the garden. She did not take her keys or her phone.
When she returned, she found that the lock on the door was slammed shut! She was just in her night clothes and slippers out in the cold, but there was no way to get into the house!
The neighbor's house was too far away. You can't shout and even if you did, no one would hear!
Our sufferer threw a thin blanket on herself, on which the dog used to sleep, and wondered how she would get out of this "adventure" now.
In short, she spent the night next to the animal, basking in its warmth.
Luckily the neighbors accidentally passed by the cottage fence the next day and rescued her.
They called Valentina's daughter in Europe and found out where the spare key is!
So such incidents happen!
I carry spare keys to our cars with me in my purse and my husband often forgets his own keys inside the house or car. I don’t let my purse out of my hands!
And I want to give my readers such advice.
Be careful before leaving the house. Even to go on the balcony, check if you have your keys, phone, and wallet! And you will not have any problems returning to your home or apartment!
