A song about a friend

V. Vysocsky

 A song about a friend

If a friend prove was suddenly
 And not friend, not enemy
If at once do not make out
 Bad he or good

Try risk - take him on a mount
Do not allow him be alone
Let him and you be the same tie
There will understand who is he

If he in the mounts was not brave
If at once he became not strength
 On the glacier to strided
Made wrong a step and cried

It mean near you is a strange
Drive away him but without be scolder
Up such man do not take
And there about them do not sing

But if he did not howl
If he was gloomy and sullen, but go
If you down from rock fell
 He groaned, but held

If he go with you how on a battle
And on the pick he stood happily
 It mean as on yourself
 You can on him rely.
