Dozens of things

“He glanced surreptitiously at the reflection of his weary face in a dusty windowpane. His eyes looked absolutely furious. The city in the rain made him seem somewhat angrier. Matt definitely felt too tired when he took the earliest bus to the city center this morning. ‘Where is she now?’ he wondered. In his imagination, he started to paint in vivid colors dozens of things that she could potentially be doing right at that particular point in time. These thoughts briefly and spontaneously raced through his mind over and over again. This one here, that one there… When eventually he put all his thoughts together, he was perplexed to realize that this would be unlikely to ever make things easier for him. Therefore, he decided to take a short walk… The end. E-N-D! Eh, do you hear me?!”

“Ouch! Yeah! Of course, but…”

“But what?”

“But that is so boring…”

“Not as boring as you think! Last time you told me the same thing. I mean exactly that… Here! Look! This part is even getting more exciting!”

“What? Getting more exciting?! You said that this was the end!”

“Nope! This was the end. The end of the chapter!”

“Gosh! Oh my gosh!”

“Hey! H-E-L-L-O! Do you remember where are you studying?”

“Yeap, sure…”

“Come on! Get yourself packed. Unless you want to be late…”
