Etude 5. The Unthinkable. Coronavirus & Virulent Ideas.


The World Health Organization announced a coronavirus pandemic: the number of infected reached 118,000 people on March 11, 2020, and more than 4,000 people died.

The coronavirus COVID-19 could be called as virus-liar because it tricks the immune system, since the crown of virus creates fake molecules that mimic substances that are useful for the body.
The "Little Liar" from the microcosm created global problems and caused a lot of harm to peoples.

Due to the high mobility of the World's population and the lack of vaccines, drugs and immunity against COVID-19, the virus is rapidly spreading, along the way easily collapsing stock markets and breaking comfortable social norms, separating people and countries.

The modern high-tech civilization of the Earth, planning the landing of a human on Mars, standing on the threshold of the Era of RA, i.e. the era of mass use of robotics, AI, and creating the most advanced expensive types of weapons of mass destruction of people (including biological weapons) suddenly found itself almost defenseless against the threat from the microworld.


Note also that the disease caused by the virus-liar has a feature that virologists cannot explain. Children, young and middle-aged people, mainly, easily pass this sick and often recover without consequences, but COVID19 has not mercy the elderly.

Undoubtedly, over time, the virus-liar will be weakened, get rebuff from humanity and nature...
It is necessary to understand the phenomenon of a global outbreak of a viral pandemic and reflect on a simple question: "Is the coronavirus pandemic the sinister manifestation of exacerbation of chronic diseases of the world civilization or isn't?"

As you know, COVID-19 was first detected in a human in China, according to various reports, in the period from November 17 (according to newspaper "The Guardian") prior to early of December 2019, and for several months of 2020 it takes the throne of the world's Empire of mass media.

On Friday, March 13 the BBC reported that the Italian Institute of anaesthesia, resuscitation and intensive care (SIAARTI) compared the situation with COVID-19 in Italy with the war and published recommendations for doctors to to comply with the principle of "the maximum good for the maximum number" of people in a shortage of doctors and medical equipment for ventilation.

Moreover,The recommendations to say what the BBC called UNTHINKABLE under normal conditions: "It may be necessary to determine the age limit for receiving intensive therapy." This is a cruel decision (comments the British BBC), but its only alternative - the principle of "who arrived first, took place" in the intensive care module - is even worse.

In the 21st century, it is truly unthinkable that the world community left Italy almost alone with this unthinkable choice.

Beautiful Italy is now in the greatest danger owing to the most aggressive strain of coronavirus and a large number of elderly people (Italy is the second in the world after Japan in the number of centenarians).

But we can and should take advantage of the fact that the pandemic is spreading unevenly around the world and the world community, with the coordination of the UN, is able to collect and send funds, medical workers and equipment to Italy.
The Security Council and WHO can and should call on the world's countries to stand together against the global threat and invite countries with the largest defense budgets to urgently redirect part of these funds to the global Fund for defense against the coronavirus pandemic...


(While I was working on the article, I posted these appeals on social networks. 22.03.2020 news: a group of doctors and medical aid from China arrived in Italy a few days ago, a group of military virologists and special equipment from Russia and Cuba is planned to arrive... the UN is launching an air bridge program to transport specialists and equipment to the regions most affected by the pandemi... The UN Security Council planned organize remote Summit against COVID-19 on April 9, 2020).

Of course, these are urgent and necessary, but palliative measures. We will discuss the fundamental measures of healing humanity. 

Fortunately, what is UNTHINKABLE in traditional normality does not always become reality in the so-called new normality.

The history of Humanity consists of dates and events. Here are some of its.
Spring-summer 1945. On the instructions of Churchill, "The Operation Unthinkable "was developed, in fact, it was a plan for the World War 3 of Great Britain and the United States with the use of nuclear weapons against the alleged military aggression of the USSR. The "Unthinkable" plan was not implemented, fortunately. Otherwise, Europe would have become a radioactive desert in the middle of the 20th century.

2002. More than a million Britons in a survey by the BBC television and radio Corporation named sir Winston Churchill the greatest Briton of all time.
An honorable fourth place in the list of "100 greatest Britons in history" in the same poll was taken by sir Charles Robert Darwin.

In 2019, in addition to the 210th anniversary of the outstanding naturalist and traveler, progressive humanity also celebrated the 160th anniversary of the remarkable work of Charls Darwin "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life", which was published on November 24, 1859, began the scientifically justified enthronement of the principle of the Struggle for Life in the evolution of the plant and animal kingdom.


Unfortunately, both these anniversaries were discussed in the mass media in 2019 unfairly little. Indeed, Darwin's rich natural science heritage is often called "Darwinism", and his influence is great not only in the field of natural sciences. Darwinism produced even more significant consequences in the social sphere.

Darwin himself wrote in his work "The Descent of Man, and Selection in Relation to Sex":
"The following proposition seems to me to be highly true — namely, that any animal with clear social instincts, parental and filial relations would inevitably acquire a moral sense or conscience as soon as his intellectual faculties were developed in the same way as those of man"...

Unfortunately, Darwin's theory of natural selection in the animal kingdom was unnaturally transferred by self-willed interpreters to the social sphere in the form of Social Darwinism and other "virulent ideas" that parasitize the ideas and works of the great naturalist.

In the book "Transfiguration of the World: from the willfulness of Power to the supremacy of the Spirit" in 2003 I wrote the following about this: ."...recognizing weakness as a serious illness, a Homo Sapiens seeks the supremacy of spirit over power. And truly the forerunner of the Faith of Love, its nameless Apostle was that unknown woman who once was the first of humans to throw herself not into the arms of the winner, but to his defeated rival in the hope of healing his bodily and mental wounds.

Driven by love and empathy she spiritually rejected brute force - and the mechanism of natural selection failed for the first time.
So natural for female, who dutifully waits for the winner in the struggle of males for life, this selection was unnatural for a spiritualized person who has the right to choose."

I have neither the time nor the space in the article, nor the desire to describe in detail the unreasonableness and misanthropy of a lot of virulent ideas that parasitize on the Darwinism.


A precursor to the ideas of "social Darwinism" British economist Thomas Malthus, who published in 1798 his book "The Experience of the Law on Population" in which he argued that the reason for the difficult situation of the peoples, including unemployment, is the result of a "natural law of population", according to which population growth increases exponentially, and the growth of means of livelihood only in arithmetic progression.

The solution to the problem of "useless people" was seen by the priest T. Malthus in the forced regulation of population through wars, epidemics, famine, forced work, temperance from marriage, childbirth, etc. This theory got the name of "malthusianism".

"Neo malthusians" and adherents of other virulent ideas and theories juggle the ideas of Darwin and other great scientists, like clowns with oranges in the circus arena.

Indeed, 7.7 billion people lived on Earth in 2018.
The UN estimates that the World's population will reach 9.7 billion by 2050 and 11 billion by 2100.
In the dominant now socio-economic model, which is outdated for a long time, has essentially problems.

Most scientists and just sane people understand that neo-malthusianism and other virulent ideas and theories operate with sly numbers and create false goals, and their creators and supporters are worthy of the "Lorelei Awards", because they push the development of global civilization on a false course of "social apartheid" and "palliative ruling regimes", distracting attention from the true causes of global plagues of nowadays civilization.

Supporters of the Malthusian concept of "fighting till the death of all against all for life", which naturally loses its relevance, probably, are ready for the last battle.

Mad, but probably still influential supporters of virulent, misanthropic ideas, see that the world in "the 20s of the 21st century" is entering the Era of RA (Era of Robotics & AI), in which robotics and AI can replace people in many areas of production, service, etc., and also fearing that time for misanthropic ideas is running out, can begin to implement the UNTHINKABLE.

It is obvious that someone of the researchers of the causes and consequences of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic will be interested in the coincidence of two Darwin's anniversaries in 2019 and the appearance of the first people infected with a coronavirus. One way or another, independently or with someone's help but the new coronavirus made a steep evolutionary leap from animals to humans.

It is very likely that soon a blockbuster with a huge budget and a primitive scenario based on this random act of fate will be released.

According to the scenario, on February 12, 2019 in 210-th day of the birth of Darwin one of social Darwinist hums the song "Happy Birthday To You" and eating bat with coronavirus. After 9 months, on 24 November of the same year, on the day of the 160-th anniversary of the publication of the doctrine of the struggle for life, this crazy man begins to cuddle with people, spreading the disease to "save the world"...
Absurd, - you say.
Absurd, - I say. It wasn't like that. And Darwin had nothing to do with it.
Moreover, Darwin in his youth left medical university because he did not want to see blood.


But you can't argue with that the consequences of the new coronavirus pandemic, which kills primarily and most of all the elderly, are cruelly and cynically solving, in a way unthinkable in today's humane and democratic society, the same false in its core problems that world and national leaders have so far solved by raising the pension age and other harsh market measures. But there are no mass protests, people are quarantined at home...

Objectively: the "problem of pensioners" is not a big problem even in the current outdated socio-economic model.

So, let's discuss about evolution of humans & evaluation of humans.

The point is that Darwin's ideas were wrongly transferred from the biological sphere to the social sphere, and the principles of commodity and money relations were transferred to the sphere of human relations.

In the current system of commodity and money relations a few people are interested in the purpose of evolution and the true value of human as a person, most people are interested in the so-called "price of human".  Ask them, " How much is this human worth?"

When evaluating the owner, they will say that his price is equal to the valuation of his property. When evaluating an employee, they will evaluate their professional abilities and their remuneration.

Figuratively speaking, the value of a human is measured in horsepower (hp).

That is, in the current models of society and economy, the abilities of an ordinary human to work and to war are valued above all another talents of a person.
Approximately the same measure was used to evaluate a human at all times: from the moment of exile from Eden till the present day. Rulers, as a rule, looked at their slaves, servants, hired workers as "workhorse" or "small screw".

I, of course, forced to simplify a lot, clearing the varnish from the age-old image of an ordinary human in the current picture of the world. But the meaning is correct.

After all, most people have lived their lives without discovering the talents that nature and God have lavished on them. Because they did not live in the full sense of a high understanding of life, but were forced to survive in the struggle for life imposed on them.

During my work on the Etud "The Unthinkable", I read a small fragment of the beginning of an article by an Russian economist in the Russian business newspaper "Vedomosti" on March 16, 2020 in the "opinions" section.

In this fragment the author presented "the simplest variant" as he called it. The option was approximately as follows: 60% of the population will get sick in a month, 1% of them will die, and 70% of those who died will be people over 60 years old. "As cynical as it may sound," - the author comments , - "it's not a very scary for the global economy."

I looked up from my reading because I was very scared. I was not afraid for the world economy, I was very scared owing to a dispassionate calculation that was probably as mathematically correct as the economic justification for the break-even operation of gas chambers in nazi's death camps. And I felt ashamed of people who consider such calculations possible (a shame is such a non-economic definition).

Shortly before that, I read the words of CNBC analyst Rick Santelli, who, because of fears of a downturn in stock activity on Wall Street suggested that it would be better if the pandemic COVID-19 spreads like flu without quarantine. Then everyone would have been sick, but a month later, as after a normal flu epidemic, the stock would have risen again in price.

Probably, Mr. Santelli expressed the secret thoughts of some oligarchs whose "prices downed", because they lose significant amounts due to the panic on the stock exchanges, but they do not yet speak about it so cynically, for fear of public opinion. Although the voices of people most affected by virulent ideas about the alleged "usefulness" of the coronavirus pandemic are already being heard.

By the way, the opponent of the social Darwinism Jeet Heer counted how many human victims are willing to put on the altar of the Golden Calf of his fans: "With the most conservative estimate of 0.5% mortality, this is a call for the deaths of 37,500,000 people worldwide, including 1,750,000 Americans, to support the stock market."

I did find the full text of the article by the Russian economist Nikolai Kulbak. As always, the most interesting part was at the end. It turned out that he is not a supporter of the "simplest option".

He wrote that cynical rulers of the undemocratic states will hide information about the danger of a pandemic in order, by economic standards, to minimize costs and maximize benefits, regardless of the suffering of people. And the democratic states despite economic losses, will save the maximum number of people by observing the necessary quarantine measures and providing assistance to all who need it.

"Thus, - says Nikolai kulbaka, - democratic States will successfully pass the test of humanism and democracy".


But I say more than that:
"Every person during this coronavirus pandemic is tested for humaneness."
Because a true person cannot be reconciled with the fact that someone values ;;people only as workforce, and the meaning of  life of "workforce" is squeezed into the Procrustean bed of "working age".

The coronavirus pandemic is most dangerous because it has set moral pitfalls for those who agree with the "logic like a steel trap" of virulent ideas that older people who have fully worked out their working age have become "useless people" when they retire.

Falling into the moral pitfalls that set by a small virus-liar and its big bosses-liars, people lose their human dignity and become hostages of their immoral choice.

Because the big liars, "corona leaders" of the current world, supporters of social Darwinism, malthusianism and new-fangled virulent ideas, seeking to enter the high-tech future unencumbered by morality, maybe soon declare "useless people" not only the elderly, but more than half of humanity, throwing at the same time on the garbage dump of history indulgence for "working age".
And those who now agree that old people are "useless people" will not have the moral right to defend their human rights.

In other words, "High-tech progress without high morality will inevitably turn into a guillotine for humanity."

Therefore, we do not need to panic over this kind of information, which was published under a flashy headline by one of the economic newspapers: "Demographics are one of the biggest threats to the world economy and the future of the world."

In this article, author intimidated us by the OECD report, in which data on the population aged 20 to 64 years old in each OECD country is projected to the situation in 2050. The forecast showed that the number of workers in 2050 will be only 80% of the number in 2000 in Korea and Italy, and in Japan it will decrease to 60%.

Earlier in the Etud "Horsepower" I gave an example of the forecast of 1899, according to which, owing to the increase in the number of horses in new York in 1930, mountains of horse manure should have accumulated as high as 3-story buildings. But, as we know, the creative human thinking that created cars saved humanity from the "shitty future" predicted by prognosis at that time.


The creations of human thought - mechanical engines - replaced horses, but by mental inertia the power of engines continued to be measured in horsepower...

And now the solution to the most complex problems of our time can offer us a human-creator, not a virus-destroyer.

But if at the beginning of the 20th century it was necessary to clean the "Augean stables" on the streets of cities, then at the beginning of the 21st century it is necessary to clean the "Augean stables" in the minds of people affected by virulent ideas.

It is creative and moral persons who have to protect the world from real deadly dangers.

It is therefore my duty as a person of goodwill, philosopher and sociologist, for over 25 years professionally involved in the development of a new image of the future, to warn people about a new global dangers, which will not jump up as a virus-liar from the microworld and will not drop down on our heads from the space, but which maybe is rooted in a virulent ideas in the brains of the few, but often very influential people and can be a fatal cause of total enslavement and destruction of a lot of peoples.


The fact is that modern humanity and the world are facing a man-made "end of the world", the basis of the scenario of which, very likely, is a mixture of virulent ideas incompatible with the life of humanity.

Do not confuse this global man-made performance with the blissful scenario of the future described by F. Fukuyama in the book "the End of history, or the last man".

Do not compare the mad performance of the world theater of the absurd with God's Providence and Doomsday (by the way, I suggested changing the name of the famous Doomsday Clock to a more correct name for them - the MADday Clock, because only madmen suffering from delusions of false grandeur can allegedly try to improve the world, including forced rejuvenation of mankind  with the help of a coronavirus pandemic).

The transition to a Misanthropic Era can occur not only by direct violence of groups of influential madmen over the peoples of the world, but also, most likely, by false leaders who will lead people towards goals-mirages.

And the apotheosis of this global performance on the world stage can be:

A FULL FALL OF EVALUATION OF A HUMAN.

Whether this happens gradually and latently or dramatically depends on the world stars of the theater of the absurd: producers, writers, and performers of the main roles of the corona-leaders...

This is unthinkable for a sane person of good will, but it is quite acceptable and even seems rational for a human whose mind is affected by the virulent idea of the right of their own domination over other people.

To complete the description of the Unthinkable, I will again quote an excerpt from the book "Transfiguration of the World: from the willfulness of Power to the supremacy of Spirit":
BETWEEN POWER AND SPIRIT.

Unfortunately, we must admit that the force line of development has prevailed for thousands of years.
Most of the fateful dates were dictated by the force are written by blood in The History.
Wars and revolutions built and crushed the world order, wiping out decrepit empires and raising new rulers to the top of the world.

The forces of Nature reigned on Earth long before the appearance of human.
Before becoming" intelligent", human has fully experienced the power of the blind forces and the inevitability of the laws of Nature.

Natural selection ruled the vegetable and animal kingdom with a cruel and inexorable rule, killing the weak and the unwanted, and giving life and offspring to the strong, the cunning, the prolific and so on. The survivors worshipped the Force, trusted in It.

By fangs, fists, weapons, fans of Force breakthrough their way in History, form by force a world order where the strong is right and the strongest is the ruler.
Irreconcilable struggle of individuals, species, tribes, clans, collectives, corporations, classes, peoples, states, technologies, ideas is their way of existence.

The winner is not judged is their battle cry.
The force forever is their worldview.
Tyrants, dictators are their idols.
Their steel will, their mad energy, their merciless strength - be it muscle, weapons, or money - push the world in a force line of development."

But remember: what measure you measure such and you will be measured.
"Never shout: God with us, better say: In God we trust".

THE LINE OF SUPREMACY OF THE SPIRIT.

Thank God, initially there is another line of human development, based on love for one's neighbor, empathy for the weak, and justice for all and in everything.
The emergence and spread of religions and ideas that preached the triumph of Truth and Good on Earth and in Heaven opened the path of spiritual growth for humanity.

Millions of Christians, Muslims, and Jews worship the God, the Supreme - the absolute personification of Love, Goodness, Wisdom, and Truth.

Billions of people of good will recognize the highest and enduring values of the ideals of Love, Kindness, Intelligence and Justice.

A rational human is called by his very nature to be guided not only by the laws of nature, but above all by the law of conscience, the Law of God... Human seeks not to weakness, but to subordinate a power by a reason and to the supremacy of the spirit.

The righteous and people of good will in coworking with God create good, believing and loving, dream of a new world order in which Truth will reign..
Love, empathy and everyone's right to happiness are the pillars of their way of life.

God is not in brutal force, God is in truth is their motto.
Love your neighbor as yourself, love the World as yourself is their main commandment.
Do not harm tis heir principle.
God is Love is their faith.

The righteous, poets, thinkers, prophets, saints, and the God are their mentors."

Unthinkable in the 21st century, documentary video of deserted streets of Rome, Paris and other European cities with patrols detaining rare pedestrians could probably be montaged in a fantasy movie about the arrival of the Antichrist.

Good always triumphs over evil.
To remember it again and again I propose to perpetuate the memory of all victims of COVID19, most of whom are older people, by creating the painting "Massacre of the Elderly" similar to the painting "Massacre of the Innocents".

 Some authors of the best-sellings who artfully mixing a cocktail of fact and fiction, as Dan Brown did in "The Da Vinci Code", maybe will write the intellectual thriller "Massacre of the Elderly. Geronticide in 21st Century".

  Intertwining the storylines of "Massacre of the Innocents" at the beginning of Anno Domini and the death of many old people around the world from a new coronavirus at the beginning of the 3rd Millennium, the fiction writer will directs an hero-investigator, like professor Langdon, to unravel the ball of virulent ideas of a global conspiracy.

  The leitmotif of these stories of infanticide and geronticide is simple and eternal: tyrants are afraid of losing their crown and are ready to commit any crimes in order to preserve their power.

  The hero finds secret plans of the "world backstage" to destroy the Messiah, who was born more than 65 years ago and is hiding from enemies, waiting for his time.
  They launch the COVID-19 pandemic, which collects victims from all over the world, primarily the elderly.
  In Italy, the pandemic is burning, taking the lives of many old people every day. Once a baby, which can be saved by urgently connecting to a ALV apparatus, is brought to one of the hospitals. But there are no free ALV apparatus…

  A doctor who has the right to disconnect elderly people from the ventilator tells the elderly people about the baby in the intensive care ward. Many of them are ready by their own free will to hand over to the baby the equipment that saves them. The not-so-old man begs the doctor to save the baby by his life-support equipment.

  The good deed is done: in the struggle for life the human saves the human.

  Was this good man a Saviour? God knows. At least for the baby, who recovered on the third day after the old man's death, he is definitely a Savior.

  After all, by saving humanity in a human, a human saves humanity. In another words: if every human saved humanism in his soul, altogether humans will save Humanity.

  Epilogue.
  Some time after the victory over the coronavirus pandemic, the hero-investigator in a group of tourists stops in the Vatican Gallery in front of two tapestries "Massacre of the Innocents". He feels someone's eyes on him, turns around, and at the end of the Gallery sees a man who looks very much like an old man who saved a baby. The old man makes signs to approach him, but when the hero approaches, the old man disappears.

  In front of the eyes of the hero-investigator is a new tapestry "Massacre of the Elderly" but the plot is life-affirming.



On April 9, 2020 the number of reported cases of covid-19 worldwide has reached more than 1 500 000 , 88 700 people died.

The danger of the new coronavirus is that people do not yet have immunity from it. But the danger of transferring artificial mutations of social Darwinism into society and the fact that humanity has not yet developed spiritual immunity from virulent ideas are much more terrible.

And only together can people of all races and peoples save themselves and the world.
