Too much human-like 2

The Gates of Eternity.

In the morning, going on a date, Martha prudently took a swimsuit with her, as well as everything else necessary for a beach holiday, and now went to the Dnieper. The sun has entered its zenith. There were a lot of people on the beach, but she managed to find and take a free sunbed - however, only to neatly pack things up; she hated sunbathing. That was too boring.

Martha bathed, sculpted figures of mermaids, people and animals from wet sand. She tried to read, but could not force herself to concentrate on content of a book. She was constantly thinking about Kidan. Ah, how nice it would be to be here together! Together swim, splash in the water, have the opportunity to admire his beautiful strong body. Yes, of course, it would not be easy for him to admire her ...

Suddenly she laughed out loud and decided: it's better to return! No need to miss here alone. If she has been relentlessly thinking about him all this time, so bathing was not a joy to her, then how should he feel in his hospital? Gebre, probably already gone, and if not, then what's a problem?

On the way, Marta bought two portions of ice-cream, and now rushed to the hospital with all her might, fearing that the ice-cream would melt. Entering the gate, she was still running and suddenly stopped at full speed, as if stumbling.

She raised her head and saw Kidan and Gebre, who were standing on the stairs and smilingly watched her approach. And why did she run like that? Martha began to mutter something about ice-cream, which melts very quickly, but Gebre had the same penetrating eyes as Kidan, she simply did not know where to hide from them! He seemed to see through her and understood everything that happens in her soul even better than she did. However, he said only: “Chao bel!”, shook Kidan's hand, smiled at Martha once more and left.

When the ice-cream was over, Martha went to Kidan, he hugged her and pressed her head to his chest.

The sun shone through the crowns of tall trees. The foliage rustled softly. His olympic jacket was warm, smooth, and a special stupefying odor came from him - his aroma, the best one in the world. It was audible how his heart beat loudly in his chest. Martha closed her eyes and forgot about time. More precisely, time has ceased to exist. Never in her life had she experienced such an unusual and pleasant sensation: to be out of time, out of the stream of life. All she now wanted was to stay like this forever, and so that nothing would change - just to always stay that way, resting her head on his chest, breathing with his breath, listening to the rustle of leaves and the powerful beating of his heart. It seemed to her that she had found what she always looked indiscriminately — her place, a place where she felt to inexpressible, incredibly good and where she wanted to stay forever — his chest, his heart. His chest heaved up and down, rocking her like ocean waves. All doubts, all thoughts were gone, all movements froze in her, and she enjoyed the feeling of perfect happiness and perfect peace, which is called bliss.

But Kidan suddenly pushed her away, and himself sat down on the steps. She looked at him with a sigh, met his gaze from the bottom up, and heard:

“Martha, I want you.”

Yes, she already understood this without his words - a minute earlier. For a whole week they just walked, talked; yes, she was surprised, but was immensely grateful to him for his calmness, for frequent meetings and calls, and now she felt that she would like more - she wanted to unite with him right here, in the midst of grass and sunlight, under the sky, in the fragrance of acacia, on the ground. But she could not openly tell him about it and only said plaintively:

- What can I do?
“What?.. I want you!”

He stood up, took her hand and led her back to their former place. Marta jumped onto a high side and walked easily along it, bouncing.

- Be careful! - asked Kidan.

But they were not lucky: some man arrived in their place a minute earlier and now spread a blanket, obviously intending to sunbathe or take a nap in the sun.

Kidan grumbled angrily through his teeth in his mother-tougue. Martha was also sorry. He was so sweet for a whole week! After a moment's hesitation, Kidan turned around, and they set off on the return journey, only now Kidan stopped at every step and kissed her with all the strength of his unquenched passion. Martha liked this too, but she understood that Kidan was not easy now and for the first time sincerely felt sorry for him. The next date he set on Lomonosov. No, he has not yet been discharged, his patience is simply exhausted.

- Go on. I'll call you in evening.

- Today? What for? We have already seen each other! - blurted out Martha, without thinking, and his face immediately took an offended expression.

- Don't you want me to call you? Don't you like it?

No, she like it very much, it’s just that she’s not used to it yet ...
